Absolutely, I’ll shoot you a PM with my cell. No guarantees on sampling my parts bin though, lol. The color of yours is awesome, I love that and it's much less common. Stock state won’t last as soon as you start so be careful.. as everyone around here says it’s a slippery slope. Congrats on the little one coming soon! It’s so rewarding and fun. I received a package from the motherland yesterday. Really excited to install these when I have some free time. If you need parts for your car, I HIGHLY recommend Mops at Supremepower. That guy is good at sourcing and you can't beat his prices. The customer service is awesome to boot.

I'm terrible at progress pictures but I installed my set of ecodes last night using the DIY posted here (my first photo already had the shroud removed):

    http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...dlight-install

It made for a very straightforward install:

    Couple notes:

    - When removing and putting them back in, it makes it pretty simple if you pull the inside corner out first when removing and, conversely, the outer part should go in first when putting back in (Thanks @NastyButler)
    - Remember to reinstall the rubber drain hoses -- almost forgot one but was able to reach in without removing again (drivers side)
    - The passenger side is very tight quarters! Took a little longer on that side even though I already knew what I was doing by that point
    - Love the clean look!

I really like the great job you've done with you Allroad. I'm still in the process of modding mine. What do you think of the Magnaflow exhaust system? Did you change your pedals? How do you like the flat bottom steering wheel?

Hey Julian! Thanks! My exhaust is an AWE Tuning Touring with black tips. I have not heard the Magnaflow in person so can't compare the two. I do love the look and the ability to adjust the tips is a bonus. Sounds nice cruising around too, although my engine is still very much stock compared to a lot of AR's on here.

I did swap out my pedals for the RS5 versions. Definitely spruces up the cabin, along with the flat bottom steering wheel and shifter. The steering wheel was one of the best upgrades and makes driving all that much more fun, especially with the extended paddles.

Allroad and Avants are one of the few cars on the road with a roof box that looks great together.

I've been wanting to get that exact wheel setup. I am OEM biased too. Do you know how much your car is dropped from stock?

I got my AR when I had one baby, now I'm up to 3. My back row has 3 child seats across. Think my AR has a few years left for me too. Think your 2 dogs will still fit in the cargo area too.

My bad, just saw this! I always finance, but I have been lucky with my last few cars. I purchased my Silverado for 29k, drove it for just under 2 years, and traded it in for 25k. I would lease, but I drive too many miles to make it pencil out. I know one of these times I'm not going to come out squeaky clean like I have in the past...

The titanium rotors were my #1 choice but I was really close to purchasing a set of BBS CH-R’s at one point. Both are awesome but I’m happy with the OEM look. I just went out into the garage and measured -- 26.25" FTG. I believe stock is 28.75" so I'm lowered 2.5". Thinking about going a little lower in the spring.

3! Congrats! Which child seats allow you to run three across in the back? Our lab is pretty big (95 lbs) and our mini dachshund (10 lbs.) is tiny. They do both fit in the cargo area, sort of. lol

Niceee! That’s a great deal. I don’t look forward to purchasing vehicles so maybe that’s why I hang onto mine for so long. Plus, I love not having a car payment once it’s paid off.

I just checked the stock gap and it looks like just over 2 inches. That makes me wonder if you have a smaller than stock wheel diameter? Is it off with this setup, meaning odometer/speedometer? Sorry if this is a newbie question.

Radian R100 car seat. We did a lot of research in this area. This is the narrowest seat I believe, at least at time of purchase. I suppose you actually use the cargo barrier that comes with the AR for the dogs. AR is awesome all purpose. I've taken the whole family of 5 on a two week road trip that included camping, only using interior space (no top box)! You won't outgrow it unless you have 4 kids. ;)

I have the stock 18” wheels and tires on right now for the winter so I’m not sure I follow regarding diameter. Are you measuring from the top of the fender to the ground? That’s generally the rule of thumb from what I’ve gathered.

There is a 1.3% variance on my 20’s compared to stock but anything less than 3% is negligible.

Thanks for the info on the Radian car seats! I don't think I'll have to worry about fitting 4 kids

I had a close-call yesterday on the highway... didn't see a car in my blindspot due to the baby seat. Luckily the driver gave me a quick beep as I was coming into their lane and all was good but it got me thinking.

Has anyone retrofitted side assist mirrors into their A4 or allroad? I would need the mirrors with cutout along with modules inside the mirror. Are there any other items needed for a proper install?

I don't want to do the full blown active lane assist, just the mirrors. Doable? Crazy? Can you do one without the other?

Thanks man. This is super helpful, questions I always wanted to know, but never asked. 1.3% is perfectly acceptable to me. What I was getting at was I was measuring roughly how much my car had to drop. Measuring from the top of my fender to roughly above the tire, I only got 2 inches. For the car to drop 2.5 inches, the wheel/tire setup would have to be a little smaller, about .25 inches smaller more or less. That's why I was wondering how it would affect speedo/odo. 1.3% is good enough for me. I'll PM you with any further questions as not to bore others. Now all I have to do is find the parts. Would be easier if you just got bored with yours and sold them to me. I hope you realize that me totally being a biter on your AR is a complement. At least we are on opposite coasts.

Very nice Allroad. Great job. So just to confirm, this does not have the Sport Package with Paddle Shifters but when you upgraded your steering wheel you can make the shifters work with a software change?
This is a big deal, given the fact that there are few Sport Package AR's out there and this opens up my search, tremendously. Granted the Sport seats are also very nice, but still, like you said, they can be added later.

Yes, you can retrofit a steering wheel with paddles and use VCDS to enable them, even on a car that did not come with them from the factory.

This is my allroad. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

It's been awhile since I've posted -- I started a new job and have been really busy with baby #2 coming in a couple months.

But today is a fun day! It's brake upgrade day. One thing that always bothered me was the tiny brakes on the allroad which look even smaller behind the RS5 wheels. The brake dust was a major problem too. Not anymore...

The Q5 and RS5 brake upgrades are the natural path but I wanted to do something different, something I've never seen on a B8.5 allroad before. Porsche 19Z calipers from a Cayenne Turbo S. I consulted with Jason from ECS Tuning and he answered all of my many emails and questions. Direct bolt-on using their kit, we were good to go!

    Inventory list:

    Front:

    Porsche 19Z 6pot calipers
ECS Tuning 380x34 2-piece cross drilled & slotted rotors
    ECS Tuning stainless steel lines
    Carbotech Bobcat CT1130-1521 ceramic pads
Adapter, bracket, pad sensor, Pentosin Super DOT4 fluid

    Rear:

Centric High Carbon Plain 125 Series rotors (Part #125.33127)
    Akebono Ceramic pads
Dust shields painted with VHT black and clear coats (Left - Part #8K0615611A / Right - Part # 8K0615612A)

Eventually I'd love to upgrade the rear setup to an S4 kit with matching 2-piece rotors and color match the calipers. But for now, this should do the trick and cut down on all that toxic brake dust!

Stopped on the way home from AV Auto Worx for one beauty shot even though it rained all morning. Silver hides dirt very well! The 3M Color Stable 35% film was added a couple weeks ago as well. Cheers

Love the OEM look. I'm still trying to decide which route to go as far as suspension and wheels but when I do I'm planning on something similar to yours. So clean. What is the weight difference with that wheel/tire combo compared to stock. I'd like to do a lighter setup to help with braking and acceleration. This car is sooooooo underpowered.

Hey FastFour, I did not weigh the wheels but did a quick search on AZ. My tires are not the same but should be a close ballpark.

    Hope this helps.
I'm certain these wheels are heavier than a lot of other options but I'm not too worried about the weight. I agree the engine could use some more balls but I'm confident this platform has a lot of tuning potential when I go down that road.

Vinny, thanks man. That’s a huge compliment coming from you. Your garage of cars is awesome and love your AR as well.

Thanks @TomPaul10 ! My vision for this car is really coming together. I keep telling myself I’m done with the mods but that thought quickly evaporates.

Ugh. You are making it very hard not to get a silver allroad, but then I think I'd end up looking like your twin. Love the RS5 rotors on this car.

Dude! I can't believe you sold your AR. But if you did get back in one, silver is a great choice. Albeit, slightly safe. Although I do love some Scuba Blue! Are you contemplating getting another so soon? B9's are looking noice!

Your AR looks so awesome! Have you got a tune on it yet? I'm still trying to fine tune my coilovers to get them all even. Do your mud flaps or front thingy scrape? Mine do quite often. What height are your fenders from the ground? I'm at 26.25"

26.25 is a good FTG height.

Thanks Julian, no tune... yet. That could change by next week, lol. I've got an 034 HFC on schedule to be delivered Wednesday. R8 coilpacks and new plugs are sitting in a box at home too. I'm taking baby steps here and have chosen GIAC with just a stage 1 tune.

Mud flaps in the back do scrape occasionally when I take a bump at fast speeds. Not too bad though. Fronts are ok. I've been experimenting with the coilovers and found 26.25" to be too low for me. I'm at 26.50" right now and all my favorite back road twisties yield no rubbing on the flares.

I'm at 25.5" FTG and still don't look as low as this or others. Probably has to do with 19s vs 20s?
