The gates belt will squeak forever and ever. Go with OE conti belt

I've never heard anything bad about Conti belts. That's all mine has been running and it's been golden. I've heard mixed reviews about gates racing.

+1 on all of these. I originally wanted the gates belt because I'm running a fully built engine and expecting over 600 crank. Then started hearing the squealing belt stories and really didnt want to deal with that on a new build. I went with the conti belt like most people and its been just fine. Selling my unused Gates belt if youre still still thinking about getting it just in case lol.

Continental. There's zero benefit to the Gates belt, yeah it might last longer than the OEM belt. But that doesn't mean anything since the rest of the timing components still need to be changed at the same interval as the stock belt vs. the Gates.

Continental here, and it's what I'll be using when the car makes 600+awhp.
Stock engine with some rods tossed in. 11.25@132mph.
