Here on this side shot you can see the down wards lip about 1.25 inche and you can also see better the inner portion parts of the fender. You can also tell that the mag/wheel combo is really inside the fenders and that they fit within the flares.
However with the 18 inch x 10 inch with an ET of 6mm with the Michelin race tires it doesn't work out and that combo will fit tightly if the car is on jacks and the wheels are unsprung but not once lowered. So some heavy modifications to the flares was required. The lip had to be shaved down to less than a quarter inch and inner parts all removed for the big wheels to fit. There is still some bodywork to be done to have the fenders fit nicely onto the car but we think the end result although not perfect is much better than the alternative. I think the front flares could have been done better but the rear seems really good.
