out with the old, in with the new

Picked up a new to me RS5 last friday, sold my beloved B7 A4 on sunday. After 250K miles and all the accompanying mods, I was ready for something else. Started looking at S4s, then S5s, and once I drove the RS, I was done.

Been on AZ for a minute. I don't post much but will pop up from time to time.

Last weekend made the run from Charlotte, NC to Chattanooga, TN across hwy 64 through the mountains. I'm in love already....

Daytona grey pearl
Black interior with alcantara
Sport exhaust - had the center resonator replaced with an X-pipe before I ever picked it up.
Tint yesterday.
Definitely a sub, maybe 10" in a sealed box, just enough to fill in the bottom end (suggestions welcome)
Interior LEDs, will have to do some looking to see what's out there - deautokey looks pretty promising
After I drive her for a while, likely wheels and a mild drop.

on the sub it depends on what kind of music you listen to .. one of my fav subs i've owned is the Morel Ultimo SC .. mid range price and excellent Sound Quality .. very accurate.. currently i went with ID Max because i wanted the ability to rattle you out of my car bass when i need it yet the abilty to be a gentle man and play accurate bass notes at low volumes for when my wife and kid is in the car

Thanks for the link brother. I'll do the research before I start anything, but initial thoughts are possible relocation of the amps in the left cubby and a custom box there. Did a 10" in sealed fiberglass in the cubby of my A4 and it was perfect. May try my hand at MDF this time.

Congrats & welcome to an entirely new experience w/your RS5. More smiles per gallon than you can imagine. BTW, love driving those sections of TN/NC/NW GA. Some of the most picturesque driving you can find, jealous I can't do it on a more regular basis.

Congrats, so good to see that RS recycled back into the family. I'm still at the 250k on your A4, what are you starting at on the RS5? And with your obvious car care ability it will be good to see how long these last (I should get to 250k in 2047)

it's got 60K on it which is more than I wanted on a '13, but it's in phenomenally good shape. Prev owner had audi care and I got all the service records from his dealership. As far as the 250k on the A4, regular under hood and under car inspections and take care of the small stuff before it becomes big stuff.
