Its incredible the lengths people go to defend this kind of backhanded service. Wake up people... You should be holding these businesses to a higher standard than "oh well you'll get them eventually".
I get the frustration, believe me. I'm just saying that people don't take wait times (in these types of circumstances) with a grain of salt. The NEWEST b5's were sold 16 years ago. They're still expensive to own, and many have been destroyed. The community is small and the market is smaller. period. Yeah, maybe in certain situations this is justified. Is what I'm getting at here is that it's pretty cool that companies are still producing and "innovating" (take it for what its worth) for our platform. I don't know why, as the backlash is pretty strong. If you were waiting 2 months for a response on something that's easily disposable or producible like say, software I'd be upset.
Like I said before. It's 2 guys running this thing. Your down pipes drop shipped from china or your injectors aren't their top priority. It could be better, it should be better, but it won't be better. Especially with massive backlash.
It's not just SRM. Last year, I waited 6 weeks before my AMD clutch shipped out and 5 weeks before my 034 upper adjustable control arms shipped.
Oh I also forgot about the time I had to buy a JHM trio twice because someone swiped it off my front porch. That was fun. Wasn't insured by FedEx because I filed a police report (per JHM) which was considered proof that it had been delivered and that ended my insurance contract with them. JHM didn't ever end up filing with FedEx even though I was told twice they were starting a claim process. I basically was told I was SOL and ended up having to buy the kit. Again. Not like I wanted to give them my money after that experience, but they're the only company that makes a linkage kit to that quality. Unless you're buying CAE.
It happens with every vendor. SRM is just the flavor of the week.
