My RS5 Build Thread

This is way overdue and I never started one because I didn't know how long I was going to keep the car. It's nothing earth shattering, but being that I've decided to keep the RS, I wanted to track the progress.

When it came in and I had both side by side



Lowered on H&R springs, 10mm spacers, and H&R sway



AG M580's on as part of a dealer buy in. They matched the trim nicely, but were definitely too bright






BBS CI'R's on



Red Quattro GmBH calipers on on painted rears








Black Optic Grill installed







I installed the ALU outer trim on the BO grill and had the CI-R's painted like the factory CH-R silver finish





What's next:

-I have H&R Coilovers here waiting to be installed

-Ecodes from Mops (For you BK )

-Intake

-Some custom interior work

-Some custom outer pieces

Looking to bring some fresh ideas for next show season.

I'm glad you went back to the Alu trim on the front grille, the black trim just doesn't tie in with the Alu trimmed windows and front splitter unless you go fully black.
How about some nice carbon parts for next year, front splitter, mirrors and rear splitter.

Yea I left the BO center section and just changed the outer trim. Made a big difference IMO. The standard Alu center section just never looked right

Love the wheels in silver! Grille looks much better too. The alu mesh pops too hard on darker colors. I was not aware you made either of these revisions. I liked the AWE vinyls too. How long are you planning to keep her? I absolutely think this is a keeper.

I had him a set lined up, but he said the $1,600 he spent on the wife's shoes for x-mas killed the ecode budget till '16 :P

Stock wheels and spacers..... Did the 10/10 setup make front to rear flush or do you think 15mm was necessary on the front (narrower or rear narrower?)? I think I saw a few others with a 15f/10r setup.

Those CI-R's are where it's at non-Oem though, damn!

Small update. Car has been under a cover since October but it's been nice here lately, so I brought it out. I've been loving the Quattro script on the newer cars so I installed it



Also have H&R coilovers going on and 034 rear mounts. Been sitting on this stuff for awhile so its nice to see it go on finally.



Next up are the E-codes and seats...

I will when its off the lift. The script isn't fully installed in the pic, just stuck on before final install. I will most likely keep it pretty low though because on the OE cars is sits just above the Alu trim
