Sorry I can't as I don't have drive select and if your car has drive select then its a MOST system which currently this system does not work with although they are potentially going to look in to it.

Go to Alpine's main site and you should find your countries info or just bombard Alpine directly in Europe (Germany HQ for Europe) or Japan ;)

This Alpine setup looks AWESOME. I thought aftermarket decks went the way of the dinosaur once the OEM Nav's came into play. I would love a setup like this.

Yes mate, they were my summer wheels until I got my Ferrada's so now they my winter ones.

This Alpine setup looks AWESOME. I thought aftermarket decks went the way of the dinosaur once the OEM Nav's came into play. I would love a setup like this.

Snap. A friend of mine and I were looking a while back for something but couldn't find nothing. I found this but he has an R8 so these don't fit in that as these are specifically for the A4/S4 A5/S5/RS5 Q5 etc

My first thoughts were the same but soon as I saw the set up in person in Alpines A5 it doesn't draw your attention to them, they actually go very well. they went red as they thought it would be better and it matches Audi S/RS etc. Audi UK had a demo of the system and loved it recently. Doubt it will end up in our cars though as standard :(

That interface is sleek and tasteful, I like it.

As archaic as the interface on MMI+ 3G is, I actually don't mind it, but the Alpine one is much more appealing.

Well Alpine answered my email straight away, very good customer service but unfortunately not what we wanted to hear; this will not fit MMI cars and there are no plans to make a unit that will fit with MMI.

I emailed this morning with a couple of questions and what I thought was an issue with my DAB radio. Within 10 minutes I had a call from he tech guy who fitted it answering the questions and solving my issue with the DAB :)

Sounds and looks great Jamin. You must be really pleased with it. I think the only (and I'm just saying this out of personal taste) thing I'd change is those big red square buttons, they make the overall look of the head unit seem cheap. The unit was designed purely for the A4 and A5 so why didn't they select some matching buttons?

Yes, I am very pleased with it as the look is great, fits in with the Audi much better than any of the stock systems and while at Alpine I noticed all their other stuff was blue and that all looked cool. But hey ho :)

Well, I have lived with the system now for a couple of weeks so I have got to know it much better.

All I can say is wow, still it gets better. I have been playing around with the settings a bit more and tbh, I don't fully know what all the different sound options mean it has been more about getting it to sound how I like it to sound and Im getting there slowly but surely with it :)

I have even adjusted the TCS (Time Correction) settings which can be done in ms or cm's so I measured the distance roughly how far each speaker is from me and entered this number :) Playing with the X over and other bits and bobs has got it sounding very good, but alas I have to say, still not as good as the Alpine A5 which had the stage 1 Alpine speaker upgrade. They offer a 2 stage upgrade with the speakers. Having only heard the stage 1 option I have to say this was a MASSIVE difference over my B+O system so the 2 stage must really be good!! The stage 1 clarity was noticeably different immediately. It was so crystal that straight away I knew my B+O system lacked big time! All that time I thought it was very good :( But no, its by no means as good as any B+O system you can buy out of a B+O shop. For sure they make it on a budget for OEM integration.

Stage 1 - The SPC-100AU front speaker system features two high performance mid-bass woofers and two Silk Dome tweeters
Stage 2 - The optional digital amplifier and high performance speaker system upgrade bring a truly amazing sound experience to your A4 or A5. Creating the full sound system requires the SPC-100AU Front Speaker Upgrade kit plus the SPC-200AU Sound System package.

So the second part uses a high power Alpine amp as well as better speakers as well :)

Also, I found out they do a TV tuner so why not, I spend so much time in this car in traffic its going in :)

Just waiting for a date to be confirmed then this is being installed also :D :D :D

This unit still amazes me!!

Found another awesome feature but can't say if this was the same on the Audi unit as never tried it before.

When I press the speak button on the steering wheel it's Siri Im talking to so I can reply to texts and emails, have texts and emails read to me. I can have it read out all notifications and then act on them if need be. Was playing last night and I sent 1 text and 1 email and both were spot on the first time which was amazing, not having to correct it and redo it

It read my FB messages to me I had come through, OK it only said Lewis sent a picture 5 times and "here you go" lol but its great.

Wish they made one for NA. Any time I presses my talk button for the mmi all I get is 'pardon'. Even after calibration and all

They make them for LHD models just for some reason Alpine US doesn't sell them but you can get them from Europe and buy the USA maps, job done

This Alpine system is absolutely amazing. Perfect integration, looks very clean, and almost all OEM (aside from the square buttons).

Curious to see how it integrates with the car menu's/systems, specifically for controlling things like TPMS, time/date/etc settings, standard radio display and saved stations, and other car setup menus (windows, maintenance reminder, etc)

Would you be able to post additonal vid/photos?
