Car show last weekend met a guy here in Atlanta with the new '16 S5. Manual and had the Roc intake. The sound was great. Assume the heat shield is in the somewhere too.

Planning on installing tomorrow! Yea the heat shield is wrapped in the under/around the pipe.

Heat shield? Does that mean you do away with the airbox completely? Google is my friend :) I have heard these ones and now I know how they get the SC whine SOOOO loud :) I did wonder lol. Did you not find it massively too intrusive that sound? I guess not cos you ordered one :)

If so even with a shield in place you are going to be sucking in hot air surely??

Do you have an OBDII device that connects to an app on your phone like DashCMD? That will show you air intake temps I think. Be interesting to see before and after as thats why I didn't go with this type like the Revo one.

Yea the benefits are negligible but helping it breath will help the further you go up the scale.

Ive not heard one in person, only YouTube vids but have you heard my APR one in my build thread? Done the vid for the exhaust but on the drive by's you can hear the whine. No where near as loud as this one but still there and inside the cabin it does not annoy you.

I love the whine from my Roc Euro. If I'm listening to the radio at a moderate level, windows up or down, I don't hear the whine unless I'm really laying on it. It's not intrusive like you would think it is. To onlookers, the whine is only noticed when you're in front of the car.

This was shortly after I installed mine. In car, windows down, music off. It was obviously filmed in Mexico...

Piano black vent and MMI trim installed!

I got a little creative with the passenger airbag light. Was initially planning on completely taping the underside (to prevent the distracting yellow light from showing), but decided to cut a piece of tape to only cover the text, leaving the logo exposed. Greatly minimizes the annoying factor of the light.
