Lettuce. You should get the w/m kit. I noticed that I hadn't used much fluid so I adjusted the settings. Can definitely feel the full spray help around 4800-5000 rpm, even without the tune. Excited for tune Tuesday now

Those two hoses I got just connected to my stock pipes. If you're looking to get something similar, here's what I ordered:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ilpage_o02_s00 - Need two of these silicone elbows.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ilpage_o02_s00 - Need two pairs of these 2.25" T-bolt clamps.

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ilpage_o02_s00 - Just need 1 pair of these 2.5" T-Bolt clamps.

https://www.frozenboost.com/turbo-pi...8dc484643c58f7 - Need two of these 2.25" SS joiners.

blbroo got me headed in the right direction with these. He sent me a PM with links to similar hardware but I generally prefer to order off Amazon instead of Ebay. If you'd rather go the Ebay route here's a post of his which lists out the hardware he used for the same IC install: http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...1#post10701763

I'm going to at some point over the winter, probably get it installed by spring. Friend of mine is parting out an old B5 he had with a gt3076r on meth and might go with his kit but I'm not sure on the specifics of it. Either way keep me updated on your tuning process. I'll probably be tuning it in myself with the Maestro suite so any info you can get me on what gets changed exactly would be awesome.

Anyways, great build! Have you considered getting an S-Line wheel with paddles for when you hit the track? Probably wouldn't improve times as S mode is pretty competent, but the challenge of timing all your shifts right would be fun.
Thanks man. Yeah, I'd love a nice S-line wheel, but boy are they expensive. I think I've seen a few non flat bottom S-line wheels with the 'shield'-shaped airbag which should allow me to just purchase the wheel and bolt on my existing airbag. That would give me paddle shifters and only cost me maybe $300 or so, so if I do get a new wheel I'll probably go that route. I could probably find a way to justify that. It'd be very hard however to justify spending upwards of $1000 on a steering wheel just because it has a flat bottom. I mean imagine yourself trying to explain that to a normal person. "$1000 was totally worth it. This one is flat on the bottom." I mean I'm not on food stamps or anything, but if I was rich enough to blow that much money on such frivolous things I'd probably be driving something a bit nicer than a used A4.

Yeah the TR11 is a lot taller than the TR8. I was a tad disappointed that mine didn't have baffles, but if I got one the size of the TR11 and it didn't have them I'd have sent it back.

Also, your TR11 will have to be mounted behind the crash bar. The TR8 barely fit under mine, so you'll need a different mounting configuration. Pipes should still match up similarly though.

Haha I feel ya, I paid $900 for my S-line/sport wheel, but it came with an entire B5 attached to it lol

Did cutting out the vents in your lower bumper grills end up helping with brake temps at all? Still planning on a Q5 brake upgrade?

I haven't done any brake ducting work yet so no, no difference in brake temps. I would imagine it does a good job of cooling down my engine bay but I haven't run any sort of logs of before and after data to verify. I doubt I'll do any sort of big brake upgrades either. They wont fit under my stock wheels and I think I'll get what I need out of just some nice rotors, pads and fluid.

Kinda soured on the idea of a BBK in general after doing a lot of research and coming to the conclusion that they generally do more harm than good if you're not running a 100% track car, since they mess with front/rear brake bias and a few other things. At best they won't make any real difference and will just cost a shitload of money. The main reason I wanted them in the first place was to run ECS' two-piece aluminum-hat rotors in order to shave off some rotating mass and make use of their directional vanes, but again after some research I believe I discovered that they're actually heavier than the stock rotors due to the slightly larger diameter. I wish I could find two-piece directional-vane rotors that fit my stock calipers.

Got a little bored, did a little photoshop. Strongly considering doing this but afraid they might look silly on an otherwise stock-appearing car.

The wheels are cool, but they are the same aftermarket style on 90% of the cars here.

The wheels are just black whatevers, I'd just get whichever ones I could find that are the lightest and don't look like ass. I'm mostly talking about the white letter tires. I think they'd be pretty unique. They also give me a boner.

No, but I'd probably do an S-line suspension upgrade at the same time. It'd have to be a bit lower so it doesn't look retarded but its my DD and the roads around here are shitty enough that I wouldn't want to deal with the hassle of a full drop.

My drop is perfect even over our shitty roads. B12 kit along with eibach sway bars. No rub, no harsh ride. Never bottom out. Also, the white letter tires will snap so many Billerica necks. They'll think an unmarked nascar just blew by......... Was that a fucking German stock car Ricky? Fucking Obama.

That's what I'm thinking. Good to hear your positive review of the Bilsteins on our miserable roads. Just might have to go that route.

Also don't know if this is frowned upon here, but I found this video of an A4 with similar mods as my own doing a pull with an A7 he saw on the highway somewhere in Mexico. Presumably the A7 had a bit of a head start coming up behind him and you can't see the A7 cause he never got in front of the A4, but the A4 pinned it as the A7 was a couple car lengths behind him and you can see his headlights come in and then disappear on the left. Bet he wasn't expecting that.

Much safer than these douchebags. In the daytime vid, you can see someone sitting on a bench, five feet from them blasting down a busy road.

I'll hit 100 on the highway, if the lanes are clear, but never where so many cars are around. Had a Cayman and some loud ass dodge blow by me the other night so I used the opportunity of them clearing the way to do a few 60-110 punches.

I would avoid ST's if you do coilovers. I like them but the ride height is too low on the max setting. I have them send me a second set of springs that didn't help aa bit. But you add some coilovers and sways it a whole new ride.

New turbo's amazing. Mid 12s and it drives smoother than stock. Honestly I'm probably good with this for now, not ready for the headaches of a BT build on such a nice daily. We'll see where the road takes me though. A convincing timeslip from your EFR might help move things along however..

Your night time dash cam footage actually looks pretty good. What camera is that?

That was a nice pull too, I've driven one of the 3.0T A6s (more or less the same as the 7) and that's a pretty quick car to be able to outrun in what began life as a much slower car

Its an A118-C. Got it on Amazon for like $80. Brand was a Spytek but I think it's sold under a few names.

And yeah I was pretty psyched at how quickly I pulled on him. Wish I had a better vid with him in frame though. Would have loved to have seen the look on his face too, bet he thinks I was in a tuned S4 or something. Little does he know it was just a little old 2.0l 4 cylinder.

For $80 I'm definitely going to have to look into one of those. Besides the ability to capture some impromptu drag races, It could probably come in handy proving that an accident was someone else's fault.

And I'd have to imagine that your car is at least as fast as a stock S4 if not slightly faster. With the non S-Line body work, stock ride height etc. it's a little bit of a sleeper though haha.

Definitely faster than a stock S4. Did a few runs at the track with a guy in a B8.5 with exhaust and a DSG, he was hitting 1.7 60' times and could only hit a 13.1. I hit a 12.7 on the same night, same track, same conditions with a slower (1.8) 60' time. With my best run of 12.6 a week later I think that might put me above a stage 1 even. Don't quote me on that though.

Not sure why that's funny, I imagine its not the most difficult thing to do if you know what you're doing and have some money to make it happen.

You are correct. More of a pun on you saying not to quote you, as if it was not the truth. It is an extremely attainable goal. It is the very reason I purchased an a4 instead of the s4. Much more entertaining building a car that is not fast out of the box and making it that way.

You should post your drag times on the S4 forum just to make them freak.

Ah I get it. I couldn't afford the S4 at the time. I can almost hang with them. I need a new turbo...

I also didn't say don't quote me lol

I'd love for the APR EFR kit to outperform stage 2 S4s.

Let's see one actually run a 12 second quarter.... If when released even breaks into the 11s
