Did my driving style exacerbate this issue? Who knows. Would it still have happened if my motor was stock? Dunno. Regardless, in my opinion, something like this should never have happened with my level of modifications.

Unfortunately the new motor came turboless. I am going to see what I can salvage from my old motor though. The rods, cams, and maybe even the entire head should still be perfectly good. If I don't sell em I might just toss em on my other block.

Nope, chitty b8 engine of course failed! My b8's piston compression ring sheared off and a small chuck of the #3 piston. I went with a b8.5 engine as well. Did you notice the crankshaft position sensor on the b8 has a magnetic tip, I did, when a piece of my piston ring was stuck at the very end of the sensor!
I can't wait to see your new track times! Stop sleeping at the light and get that reaction time down!! j/k, Keep up the good work!!
Hah that's awesome. That's a great place to find chunks of your piston ring.
I had never really bothered much with my RT at the track because I figured it didn't matter, but then I almost entered a bracket racing tournament about a month ago and was really thinking I could have used the practice beforehand. From now on at street nights I'm going to focus a bit more on that so I'll be more prepared for some actual racing going forward.
