    Lol, I don't recall if there's taxes. But there is a $25 fan rental fee! Lol. So technically the dyno is $95 but I'm not going to purposefully induce more heat soak and not use the fans.

    Seriously these fees are hilarious! $95 to dyno? If your guy can't put the car on the dyno and strap it down in 15 minutes, then you should probably fire him. And if he can't accelerate to redline 3 times in another 15 minutes then he should also be fired. So $95 for a half hour...I thought my $75 was a lot but I spent like 2 hours dynoing getting like 7 pulls. And chatting up the owner and dyno operator and checking out their 1000hp rabbits

    Yeah it really wouldn't matter I suppose. None of the variables are close enough to be used as concrete data on either dyno either, for better of for worse.

    For what its worth, a JHM stage 1 car did 285wtq on a mustang dyno immediately after being flashed and still being heat soaked from the previous dyno runs on the Uni stage 2 HPFP tune just a few min prior.

    285wtq is not bad with a test pipe being the only power adder mod on a heart breaker dyno. The Uni tune did 270wtq.

    Dunno about sea level, just a customer who went and got his Uni Stage2+ removed and went to our stage 1. He dynod his uni tune. flashed to JHM on the dyno and then immediately dynod JHM. Car was heat soaked and un-adapted and still picked up 15wtq Only mod was hpfp (does nothing for power) and a test pipe.

    apparently the max is 30 images. i had 312 to start with had to delete them all. ghey.

    Bottom line,

    1/4 is something that really happened. Real performance in real life. No bull-shit.

    Dyno is a guestimation from a computer with a car on a treadmill that can be calibrated differently and have results altered at the dyno operators mercy.



    Also, the 1/4 mile something to show exactly what your car can do. What your car is capable of. There is no such thing as a true comparison, unless it is done same day same time same place.

    John since its a new tune and obviously JHM is superior to Revo, why not start at a different shop where the majority of us ColoRADoians have Dyno'd. Then you can dyno again once stage 2 comes out. Plus Bluewaters is only $75. Just my 2 cents.

    I hope more, considering I once hit 302 wtq with REVO 2. That was back in the day when I could hit 24 - 26 psi under certain conditions.

    Dyno is a guestimation from a computer with a car on a treadmill that can be calibrated differently and have results altered at the dyno operators mercy.



    Also, the 1/4 mile something to show exactly what your car can do. What your car is capable of. There is no such thing as a true comparison, unless it is done same day same time same place.
    I still feel it's an appropriate gauge to measure CHANGE in performance on a single vehicle. I'm not doing this to compare my car to other cars. I'm doing this to measure the difference between REVO and JHM on the same car and same dyno. I've already expressed my experiences in improvement in the real world. I want to see comparison of area under the curve.

    Haha I was replying to Arjun. The fact that you have the same car, and same dyno removes a lot of variables. However, the main variables left is weather and temp.

    Agreed. My stage 2 dyno was run at ~40 deg, 2+ was run at ~70 deg. But the fact there was still a tiny bit of improvement in the dyno with this difference proved at least my fmic helped a little (even though $25 fans an efficient fmic does not make) and 2+ had a slight gain in performance. All my dynos have reflected exactly how my but dyno feels in regards to change +-. I knew right away with 2+ I lost some peak torque. Dyno mirrored that feeling.
