Here are some new snap shots with kotix's new update.

I installed the kotix skins and updated firmware last week. I like the carplay skin a lot. Mirrorlink seems good although I need more time to play with it. I changed from the stock audio player to the nitrogen player and am amazed by the better response time accessing the sd card and usb card for songs. I use a 128 GB usb stick.This was my biggest complaint about the s100, and it is resolved! Need to figure out playing flac now.

Even the browser is faster then stock.

I have the MicroSD and Nav in my B8 and what I am looking to do is the mirror link of my iP7+ to my Nav screen. Is this what this microSD firmware upgrade does? If it is, then I want in. I clicked the link in post #98 and it took me to a link that requires a PWD. Can someone please send this to me? Also, is there a pretty tidy link to the full install instructions???? What else would I need to purchase to get the mirroring function on y Nav screen???

Let's see if I can answer all your questions. The firmware is just for your specific model S100 to upgrade it. To mirror your mobile phone, you have to purchase the skin packs and have the usb cable ready for use connected in the back of the unit. Yes there is a password. Check your pm.

You have to buy the USB cable for you unit unless it came with it.

I'll have to double check haha I don't think so though. It's been a while since I've used any of the cables coming off the unit, I just have an old iPod touch with BT for music

I just updated my firmware to the latest one. Also in progress of updating the skins again.


After the update, I noticed the radio more responsive. I do have one great function to add to this, but I'll wait to make certain it is what it seems to be.

Hello Elan.
Refer to the first few post of this thread to find some information linked pertaining to where and how find the model for your unit.
Not all software for the S100 are the same.
Upgrading to the wrong software can "brick" your unit.
