    I'm sure this thread (here) will get pulled, I hope it doesn't, but I'm sure it will.

    I'm a member on AR and saw this a few days back. I'm hoping APR has something to say. I'm using an "RSC" exhaust and it seems I was outright lied to in them using the Corsa patented technology.

    It will be interesting. I have never had issues with my APR tune, but the Carbonio had fit issues. I've never used any of their other products. I have to say, this does remind me a little of the Stasis stuff a year or two ago when there were allegations they were taking Audi OEM RS4 sway bars and just powder coating them and putting a sticker on them and calling them Stasis.

    I hope for many people's sake, not just APR, but all those people who have bought APR exhausts that this is not true.

    Also, the B8S4 guys are talking this issue and have a link to some pictures that are supposedly an APR RSC muffler

    I'm glad I decided to go with AWE at the last minute.
    Not that I've seen the inside of an AWE exhaust but I doubt it can be worse than this.

    Has anyone with an APR exhaust have a direct comparison between "RSC" that APR proudly advertises and AWE.
    APR will defend themselves and say the exhaust does what its suppose to do. Free flowing and eliminate drone. What is on the inside does not matter.
    I have a neuspeed exhaust and to me there is no drone and quiet when crusing. In Vegas I don't deal with snow but my piping and muffler looks as good as new. Neuspeed is t304 stainless.

    Doesn't APR outsource their exhaust? I know for the B7 guys it was done by Billyboat.

    Definitely glad I left mine alone too.

    Bad enough with Audi cracking down on warranty claims without the additional worry of this issue.

    Glad I've saved my money on an exhaust.

    I did have an APR system on my B7 and it was way different and sounded great. The prices for that system was only $1,100. When I got the B8 and looked up the APR system, I was shocked at how much the price had changed, and all the "new technology" stuff. I have held off since I didn't feel the performance gains were worth the advertised prices.

    Some guy here on the B8 forums did a magnaflow build for a third of the price of the APR RSC system. Certainly based on gains realized by an exhaust on this platform, the expense of +2k for a full APR exhaust doesn't translate into many HP increase?

    Might just continue to hold off until I can afford the AWE or do a magnaflow DIY budget build. Does anyone remember that OP's post?

    The mufflers, tips and resonators cost around $200 and he had them welded up and installed. Way more cost effective. If that packing is accurate then that is some seriously lousy work.

    That may be the case but APR still brands the exhaust as theirs. APR should know exactly what they are buying and be familiar with the supplier's manufacturing process. If they don't, shame on them.

    the pictures in this thread look like some sort of ebay no name exhaust. Half ass, especially on hidden parts. Love the part about how they dropped the quality of the stainless for a lower grade yet still advertised it as higher grader AND even had the nerve to raise the price to nearly double what B7 prices were.

    At this price point this is simply unacceptable, drone or no drone. APR has always been among the top performers for VW AUDI parts and software but this will definitely do some serious damage.

    I'm hanging tight for when they hand out TTRS' for all.

    Arin, I see you are on AZ this morning. Can you please explain this situation to your customers (including me) that believed we were getting something significantly different. Is APR planning on doing something about this? Audizine is your largest Audi customer base and I believe your customers deserve a proper explanation and remediation.

    I have a full APR exhaust and it sounds great, and has performed great. I am not, but if someone is that concerned let see them cut the APR exhaust, where we can actually tell it is an APR exhaust, and see the innards. Personally, I am not cutting mine open (ruining it) to see if that is a fake or not......"if it ain't broke, don't cut it open...."

    As soon as the APR rep in the Vortex thread began arguing the semantics of what constitutes 'RSC' (even though their website clearly details RSC with a cutout and diagram) there was no doubt in my mind that their is some level of misrepresentation on their website.
