Nah brah, RSC is just a trademark. Corsa could ship a bag of manure with RSC. You can't possibly expect APR to be responsible for the product they had Corsa build them. I mean it's not like APR gave them a specification and asked Corsa to build something that met it or anything. Corsa made whatever they wanted, put APR's name on it, and forced APR to sell them even though APR didn't really want to!!!

Actually yes, APR did have them built to spec. That's the reason we sent off B&B exhausts for them to reproduce to include RSC Technology in the newer systems...even as far back as the B5 S4 platform.

Does this look straight through to you? ....I guess if 3x 45's are straight, then yes, it's straight. Also, what about the direct venting to the chamber?

From APR site "completely straight and free flowing exhaust path through the RSC™ mufflers" ..

    How about this ironic nugget?

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned but isn't it quite possible that the exhausts APR is selling aren't actually made by Corsa? It's known that the 2 no longer have a business relationship so maybe APR is selling cheap bootleg exhausts?

I believe some of the cutout pics were from 2010 which was around when the relationship started I thought but yes it would be good to know dates of things to see if there was a "change" at some point.

I work at a rare metals company where we sometimes purchase materials and repackage as our own and sell but we always get signed contracts/paperwork from the vendor that the material is such size and such elements so that we can go back to the vendor if theres a problem with the customer and say you signed it and said it was this. If apr wants to save face im sure they have a similar contract stating details on what they are paying for not just "an exhaust." So release it or retract some of the information such as pricing. If all its true Apr can technically sue corsa for not delivering the quality product it was promised and paid for

I actually own the car that the Corsa system was developed on in Ohio. The original system was developed and then it was used again for some tweaking from if i remember correctly were some whistling problems with increased performance. Overall I have quite enjoyed the exhaust and like the sound. I am less concerned about what magical RSC technology is in it vs it does what it is suppose to do and does it well. I may be in the minority on this one as some people think they are missing out on something but if this thread never existed would you complain?

Now seeing things like cracked welds and other craftsmanship issues is a bit disappointing and surprising as Corsa has a very good reputation in this area from what I know.

I will say that my exhaust has sounded abit off/flat at times lately and I have noticed some rattling every once in a while. I guess I need to look into that more.

If anyone has an exhaust to cut open I guess it would be me but don't think that will be happening anytime soon
Look it's not about if it performs or not. Obviously the exhaust is decent sounding. But if I paid for an aged steak and received a hot dog I would be pretty upset.

I mean I like hot dogs the taste is satisfying, but that's not what was advertised to me hence the biggest frustration is that we were advertised steak, and we got hot dogs in exchange. Doesn't matter about the end result it matters that a vendor completely lied to the public, they knew about it and lied

There was no change, APR just continued to advertise and deliver something different. They have no way to prove otherwise so they will shuck and jive until the cows come home.

Seems like another case of "profit" to me. Build a reputation, and a strong fanbase of loyal consumers willing to pay a premium for an 'apparent' premium product, then reduce the quality of the product (and therefore costs), increase the price, so as not to pass on those savings to the customer and make more profit. Then when get caught swimming naked when the tide rolls out, just point the finger and blame someone else.

Sean@APR I am offended you call yourself an engineer yet you have no idea what the products your company is selling and what is in them. What exactly do you engineer if you just buy these exhausts from Corsa and put some APR logos on it?

Good I hope I have your attention now.

Let's be honest. 99% of us here, we know apr is selling something improperly advertised. We learned. But this thread is chatterboxed. Everyone who isn't signed into Audizine, doesn't have an account, or hasn't been on Audizine long enough to earn the next ranking, won't see this. And while all of us get it, we are a very small group, this should be public information to everyone without needing prerequisites to read.

Now Audizine has both voided the audirevolution links and hidden this thread in the chatterbox, I think it's time we start sending out pm's to the admin account and inform the moderator and owners that hiding this is not ok, that it should be public information. There should be nothing to hide.

Before this discussion continues, let's make an effort to get this returned to the main section of the b8s4 forum.

The problem is being buried in the chatterbox means only registered users can see this. Probably the case that 90% of people browsing AZ aren't registered. I understand the need to move trolling threads and "he said/she said speculation" junk, but this appears to have tons of traction (pictures of B8 S4 "RSC" mufflers). Hiding the truth doesn't benefit the customers...the ones who are ultimately paying the bills here. AZ should hold themselves to a higher standard.

Admins, I would say that the people have spoken overwhelmingly in favour of it being moved back. If APR hasn't had a say in burying the details (as you have suggested), it should really be moved back. Also, what's the thinking behind auto-blocking audirevolution URLs, there doesn't appear to be any rationale.

Respectfully Audizine moderators, there exists no proper basis for burying this informative thread. Please do your current and future forum members the courtesy of returning this thread to the general "B8 S4" forum.

Wow!!! Been following this thread and was shocked to see it got moved with no explanation. I AM a longtime APR customer but this latest action has certainly given me reason to pause. I believe most of the posts gave APR ample time to respond to the issue and I believe they fell short when they did. They still have a chance to redeem themselves by tackling this head on ...hopefully they do. Don't get defensive, maybe just be contrite as we all screwup occasionally.

The least the moderators could have done was to give us some logic behind the reason for moving the thread...really sad. I vote with the others that this thread be moved back to the page it deserves to be on not hidden away. Mods...Moving the thread only hurts APR from our pont of view and not help them if this was the logic . It also only makes it harder for them to redeem themselves in the eyes of Their many longtime customers.
