    how hard is it to replace your own pollen filter?

    mine stink. and i run my ac often so it stinks often. i'd like to be able to change it myself.

    I have been thinking this recently as well (I just ordered the filter pt # 4F0898438 + tools); mine's started to stink. There's a ton of Youtube DIY videos on this, but this one (below, for the A6 C6) I thought was more straightforward.

    takes 5 min, by passanger feet there is a foam pannel. take the 3 plastic screws out by hand. you will see where the panel is to remove to get the filter out

    i would never go to that sitee for help if thats what they want you to do for the filter replacement

    are you guys using the the oem filters from the dealer or something else? i know there's some aftermarket hepa type filters but i don't know if they're any good. i don't mind paying for the audi filters, even at $65 a pop, but they just don't seem to last very long.

    I got this - Mann Filter CU 3023-2 Cabin Air Filter off Amazon. The OEM part # is 4F0898438 (for C6)...maybe different for a C7.
