Anyone here run the S5 9" width peelers or 5-arm rotors?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
If I've learned correctly, the 19" wheels on the S4 are a 8.5" width while the 19" wheel options on the S5 are slightly wider at 9". Anybody here running the 9" widths? I like the slightly more concaved look of the 9" width peelers and/or 5-arm rotors. What tire sizes are on these options and how does it effect steering and looks on an S4?

you can just run the S5 5 arms with the stock tire size and it will look better than the S4 stock rotors and sit flush.

I ran S5 8.0" reps on my A4 for the winter time and fitment was pretty good (18" wheels). I could have had a 5mm/8mm spacer on it, 245/255 should be fine. I went 9.5" 19s summer wheels this time around and just mounted new Super Sports to them, 255 is a perfect size for the tire.

Looks great. IMO that slight additional concave makes it look better. Are those reps or OEM S5 wheels? Does anyone make reps that are 9" wide?

    My S5 came with 18's (8.5x18 ET29), but I bought "speedline" takeoffs (19's) from a 2012 S5. They are 19x8.5 ET32. So the 19" peelers and 5-arm rotors are 9x19?

From what I understand, the 19" peelers and/or 5-arm rotors on the S4 are 8.5" width while they're 9" width on the S5.

I don't have an S4, but an A4 and I installed the S5 wheels in 18" that are 8.5 inches wide and have an excellent concave look at 32ET. Just trying to help if I can, so here's how they look...

There's the dilemma - I currently have a set of 19x9.5 et40 wheels with Mich PSS 255/35 and ~70% tread life remaining, and I am considering picking up a local set of S5 peelers 19x9 et33 which happen to have a set of Continental ExtremeContact DWS tires mounted to them with lots of tread remaining (haven't seen in person yet but the photos look good). So I would then have two perfectly fresh sets of 255/35 tires and would not want to buy a set of 245/35. It would be ideal to be able to use at least one of the existing sets, but then I worry about rubbing and, more importantly, looking like it's poking out too far.

Thanks to the examples posted in this thread I pulled the trigger on a set of OEM S5 peelers from a local AZ member over the weekend. The wheels were in good condition and came with a set of Continental ExtremeContact DWS tires in 255/35-19 size. I did some driving yesterday on some uneven road surfaces and heard minor rubbing only from the rear passenger side. At my ride height I would say that's a win - a tiny bit more negative camber and I would be rub-free.
The 19x9 et33 sizing is a great fit IMO for a lowered B8/B8.5 S4. OEM quality and look, notably more aggressive than stock.
Hard to believe one of the aftermarket companies (is Hartmann listening??) has not produced a replica in these specs. I'd even say make it et34 to alleviate rubbing altogether with 255/35-19 tires. I think it would be a big seller since the 'peeler' design looks good on earlier generation Audi body styles as well.

^ I posted a thread in the A5/S5/RS5 classified "Want to Buy" section middle of last week and got lucky that the seller responded that same day. It's worth a try!

I also found some for sale on eBay, genuine Speedline brand OEM Audi wheels that had been "remanufactured". They were going for ~$300-$350 per wheel and I was not able to find a single seller that had a full set of 4. I'm not sure I would want to mix and match between sellers, though, because various repainted wheels might end up with slightly different finish.

I also run S5 peelers on my S4. But I used 245 tires because I thought it would rub with 255. It still rubs here and there and I have Goodyear tires.

Sorry for bumping this old thread but I absolutely love your car - it is very OEM+. Where did you get the WSP wheels? Any fitment issues at all with a 255/30/20, which is what I presume you're running?

S5 Peelers with 255/35/19 PSS, stock suspension. I rub in the rear on large dips and bumps, more so with passengers. .5* more of negative camber out back would cure it, but I have not be inclined to do so.

While I like the look of my 19x8.5 et43 OEM rotors, I prefer the fitment of the 19x9 et33 peelers. (19x9 et33 Rotors would have been the best of both worlds but I couldn't find a set). With cooler weather on the horizon I'm actually thinking about swapping my 19x9 peelers with all-season tires back onto the car tonight.
