Replacing MMI with Android?

Hi there..

I am hoping this is the appropriate question for this section. Does anyone know if there are any options out there to replace the MMI screen with some sort of aftermarket system that would run android? I have been searching the web and these forums and I find what appears to be some sort of solution but the sites looks shady and there is not a lot of detail offered.

This gadget appears to only be replicating the video output and touch functionality from an existing phone onto this new screen. This would suffice but I would really like to see a system that operates autonomously, almost like a tablet, and hopefully supports 3g/4g/LTE or least Wifi client functionality.

I am probably way off base, but I would love to hear any feedback or experiences, I am looking to get pointed in the right direction

I have a 2014 Audi S4 Technik in Canada, so there is no 3g/4g/LTE or Wifi Hotspot options available (/facepalm), I would much rather run a complete android system in the dash than the MMI.

I have no skills so I would assume that I need to find a local (Calgary) custom shop to even tell me if they could somehow fit a unit like this in the dash. I would also assume there would be some big dollars involved to do the work :)

I have played with a prototype that will do what you want but I have no ETA on it. It will work with all Audi's that have an MMI3. Its pretty sick.
