There isn't going to be a kit likely. Its a turbo designed for the FSI engines as such its a much differently constructed turbo than a turbo meant for a 06A block motor. CTS Turbo sells a great kit: http://www.ctsturbo.com/cart/product...-3504-335.html

DEFINITELY not cheaper than a Frankenturbo though.

034 could machine that transition piece in no time, that would be the most efficient and reliable turbo upgrade for all 1.8t market...

I think the intelligent noob questions are OK, without them, the B6 forum would die. Searching is one thing, but not everyone will get their specific questions answered that way.

If we still keep our bandwagon'ing to a reasonal level, the existing GTRS/71r kit is still cheaper with more potential.

In other news, I've never seen this done. Thats awesome. The S3 K04 is a hell of a turbo. Nothing like the weaksauce K04-15 us 1.8t guys are used to.

That S3 K04 has billet wheels and a much revised blade profile, etc. Its a totally different beast than the k04-15. Lots of the 2.0t guys make over 300awhp with it no problem. Just need some rods and you're good.
Yea. I raced a mk6 k04 gti in my STi... I was REAL surprised. lol

They use what people like to refer to as 'turbofolds.' The housing and manifold are 1 cast piece.

I think it's incorrect to call them K04s.... K04 is just a model family. The last three digits or full part number denote the most important points. I.e. the K03-015 vs k03-073 & k04-015 vs k03-022. These ones are just minor differences, yet their is considerable difference in power potential.
This is effectively what FT/Doug/aftermarket manufacturers do. They take a bigger KKK wheel and stick it in an existing housing for bolt on solution.
-Still doesn't quite compare to whatever K04 they're using from factory in S3/TT-S etc. It is easily 25/28 sized turbo territory though and not some mismatched/machined contraption.

how much more power an 3071 elim could provide compared to that k04 on 1.4 bar ?the car is an AWD a4 b6 and 290whp means close to 340 crank.i'm really curious to know. As for powerband elim is too lagy comparing to my friends setup. if you see it cost wise of course this k04 setup could be more expensive but we are talking about a daily driven car and the benefits of power & torque level across the rpm range is unbeatable
bythe way i don't think that a stage1 Sti or a 335 have any chance to beat that A4...

i have one last proposal to our friend , a cheaper one but with less power. This one uses the k04 -023 from the previous S3 8L . This setup of course doesn't need forged rods and is perfect for everyday use ,far better than the normal k04-015
those are the dyno results at 1.5 bar

Doesn't the eliminator hot side housing hold those turbos back as far
as exhaust flow which some of the lag is caused from??

    I don't know, I'm asking.

I know there are some elim GT28 seares cars out there that have made very similar power to full frame cars. This being said I think the way the boost comes on maybe slightly different do to volume vs velocity and the way it effects the hot side. Before I put my GTRS in I ported and polished my manifold hoping to help ease the pain of the elim a little.
