Best Double DIN Dash Kit

I am a new owner of a 2007 and I bought the Pioneer AVH-3200BT http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PU...rs/AVH-P3200BT

Can anyone recommend a good dash kit that fits well and matches the factory trim? I have read different threads on different forums with conflicting reviews and some of them are a year or more old.

Dude, that is the exact same receiver I decided on! Do you like it? I will link this to the guy I am buying it from and he will interject with his options. He says he has a good fascia kit that goes well with it. Although, I hope you didn't pay 500 bucks for it, I found it for 360!

I don't know if there is a kit that fits great, I would just get a custom one made to look perfect.

i went with the metra dash kit for my avic-x910bt. easy install, looks good too, i like it....the connects 2 is just too expensive and looks too plasticy and rubbery.

Not true - its a better match to our dash than the Metra kit and not much more.

I like that kit much better than what I had put in mine. The first installer did a crap job on my Avid D3 so I had another shop fix it when they put in my XM. The new set up looks similar to jim's but that connects is clean looking.

installed a x920bt, metra dash kit is the best for the value, sucks that if you ever want to remove it, you'll need a new dash kit.

Just to clarify, the picture I put is not my car, but a picture provided to me by the supplier from whom I ordered. I do not have it yet, but will be posting a new thread when I get it and all is said and done. Anybody know which one is the one I posted? Is that the Metra kit?

It has been a while! I haven't been playing COD or been on here much. Anyways I have a Skosche plate from what I remember it being called. I had the one that you posted a picture of, and I didn't like the extra border around the head unit, and the one I had doesn't...I think it looks a lot cleaner and integrates with the interior a little better. But as far as I know, the skosche plate is discontinued. Here is another pic.

It's in my local mechanics for a head gasket right now. After that, I should be able to drive it around until i need a trans rebuild.

I just put in the Pioneer AVIC-Z120BT and used the factory Audi double din holder for single din and cuy out the middle:

I have had the Infig harness for about a month or more, but Trent was out of the stereo, finally he got it in stock this week and it souls be here on Monday with the antenna adapter and the dash kit. It was totally worth the wait considering I am saving 140 bucks under Crutchfield price. I can't wait!

Metra dash kit! And u can remove it if u take out ur glove box and panel under steering wheel column without a problem, just push 2 tabs. Comes in a matte black smooth finish like the ac controls. CRUTCHFIELD for like $20. Check my posts I think I got a pic

I just installed the Pioneer x920bt using the Metra dash kit the trim ring that goes between the unit and the dash ki has is too much space and it doesn't sit totally flush.

What is the best way to fix this?

I just received my Connects2 kit to use for my AVIC900BT install and I didn't notice in the picture that the opening is divided on horizontally by a plastic bar (single din). Is that how they all come, did I order the wrong one and if not how are they being installed (cut)?

That's how they come - you have to cut out the bar - use a dremel tool and it takes 10 seconds

I am just know going to install and I realize that even after removing the center bar, the opening in too big for the Nav Unit. Is there supposed to be some sort of extra surround piece?

I bought both the metra and the scosche dash trim kits when I installed the z130bt. The metra kit sucks because its texture doesnt match, and the bezel around the unit is ugly and unnecessary. The scosche kit fits perfect and its texture is almost a perfect match. This is a terrible picture but here is an example. Damn I need a new camera.
