Do you have a 3.0 or 2.7T? You probably have a 3.0 but if you have a 2.7T then you need camshaft tensioner/adjuster seals and rear exhaust camshaft caps.

Automatic or manual? If Automatic than you should change the fluid, filter, pan gasket, and all the pan bolts. Manuals can get away with just a fluid change.

Either way you should get a new engine air filter, valve cover gaskets, serp belt tensioner, and change the rear diff fluid in addition to the stuff that Mr-Next mentioned. I think the fuel pump and coolant temp sensor are a bit overkill though.

I suggest to save the time as well as you have time to work on your car its up to you but you can check on the coolant sensor if its not leaking thats fine also look at the temperature how long takes to get on normal position? if it take more than 10-12 minutes then replace it

what do you mean by tiptronic doesn't have oil change ?
do you know when you change the fluid of the transmission you can feel the power back to the car ? I've did that with many cars AND I do suggest to change the transmission oil at least 30K If you need your car more smooth with shifting

You can change the tip fluid on low miles but its risky at high mileage. The transmission "relies" on the grit and metal in the fluid. Without the "crap" it is prone to slipping. It defies logic, but thats the way it is.

so then you don't have to change it.

The most important is the TB get that done first after you can change the ATF . make sure you have to change the filter too

hey im so sorry guys, i totally forgot to put what engine it is.
its the 2.8 30v engine. the car is a quattro awd.

wow @MR NEXT. that is a long list of things that needs to be done.
how hard is a timing belt and water pump to replace on this car? i can try it myself and save a thousand bucks from what it looks to be.

also, the previous owner claims the TB and WP have been replaced at 40,000 miles because the car was not driven very often.
so i am not sure if it needs replacement yet, but you can never be too safe i guess?

if previous owner kept the receipt then you can wait to 120k, otherwise no. TB break risk will be very high after 80K. And that will lead to a major engine repair.

i will have to go to the shop and see if they have the receipts or records. because the PO didnt give me any paperwork for anything.
it was an older couple and they seemed legit but you never know.

If the car has 80K at this moment and the TB has been done on 40K then you have 35K left to change it

    Its more than powerful belt
Most times, it is something else causes the belt to 'fail'
