So I talked to a local S4 friend of mine, and he suggested it may be a voltage regulator issue. So I got the car started over my lunch break today and put a voltage meter to the battery. At idle it was reading 13.1 and as I revved the engine slightly it crept up to just under 15. Looks like I will be swapping out an alternator over the weekend.
