Well its a long trip from the US... haha. But... I might be back in the UK for work very soon.

Its a program called Virtual Dyno. I can send you a link if you can't find it.

So I had to go out of state for a few days so now I'm back int he act of dialing things back in and doing testing on the 5 bar MAP code.

Because I didn't want to wait for a 4 bar MAP sensor to come from Europe I just went ahead and tore my stock 2.5 bar sensor apart and retrofitted a Frescale 4 bar MAP sensor into the stock sensor guts :-)
    Works perfectly.

It's nice to finally be able to see and tune for real boost numbers!

PM me your address and I can send you a MAP sensor... I have a bunch of them lol

    http://www.freescale.com/files/senso.../MPXH6400A.pdf

I have the 3 bar and 4 bar version:

Here's a pic of the half done internals... it's a little ghetto... but it worked:

Stock sensor looks like this when you open it up:

If i have time I'll design a little PCB to replace the stock one...

But if you don't care about stock look or fitment then this 5 Bar sensor from AEM is in stock at Summit and is only $63.
I'm thinking of getting one of these myself.

Here's a log from the 4 bar map sensor showing ~24psi. More than the ME7 can normally read :-)

Thanks for the info and pics. That's a little bit more plastic cutting than I anticipated... I think I'll just order the OEM fit TDi sensor.

BTW, if you go with that AEM style sensor, I recommend the stainless one over the brass one (though it is twice the cost), as it's got an accuracy of +/- 0.5% rather than +/- 3% for the brass.

    http://www.aemelectronics.com/5-bar-...sensor-kit-655

Ultimate accuracy doesn't always matter, but when the scale is so large at 5bar (and people are likely to really only read up to less than 4 bar MAX on their S4), that added accuracy can add some meaningful resolution to the MAP readings. The stainless version's accuracy equates to +/- 0.36 psi, and the brass version equates to +/- 2.175 psi. A potential 4+ psi swing of potential inaccuracy is not insignificant when people are looking at values like 20 psi. If you decide to go that route, let me know and I can hook you up on price with that sensor with my business accounts (though it looks like you've already got your solution).

Interesting... I hadn't looked into the specs on the AEM sensors... I will have to look into that further!
And I'll let you know if I need one... Cheers.

I see, lmk if you are going to visit sweden, im up for beer and Motronic nerding

NP, I have found it. Maybe we can talk to the author and make him add a ME7logger profile? Sucks to have to edit the logs for the app to be able to read it.

If you go into options you can tell it the names to use.
All I do is strip out the first section of the file so that the first line has the names for each column.

I'm getting things dialed back in with the HPX MAF sensor and 4 Bar MAP sensor.
This was the drive to work today. 2 runs 30 mins apart. Very consistent.
Still very much on the rich side.

    Yeah the car feels great!
I need to order a stiffer spring for my wastegate though lol.
I haven't had a chance to check out the linkage yet but for the most part it's been a lot better. So hopefully it will be fine until I do the engine swap :-)
