As the title suggests, I have taken delivery of a new 2013 Allroad and figured I’d share some details on a couple of tweaks to make it “mine”.

Some history – this is my 3rd new Audi – I owned a new 2009 TT S-line, a new 2010 S5 and I just picked up the Allroad. The S5 (which was also modified) was a fantastic car, but with a growing family, I wanted something more practical.

I know there are a lot of practical cars out there, and the Allroad has taken some stick on the forums, but I had a vision in mind and honestly, liked the look of the Allroad, wanted to remain loyal to Audi, and love the build quality. I just didn’t want a Q5 or Q7, so I took the plunge.

I’m also aware that some of these mods will not be to everyones taste – I fully understand the purpose of the Allroad for ‘some’ people. The fact is, I have certain needs from the car (4 doors, avant trunk, quattro etc) but not others (the “off-road” suspension for example) so I have made changes accordingly. Could I have bought a 2012 Avant for less? – absolutely. Have I undone the Allroad’s purpose? – some may think so. Do I like what I’ve done? – hell yes! Am I stupid? – probably (my wife would say yes…).

I’m sharing this for two reasons:

    - For the benefit of the community – parts usage and transferability across models and years
    - Because I think this is somewhat unique this early on in the 2013 Allroad lifecycle

I have to thank those of you who posted the picture of the red Allroad from Norway – that was an inspiration. Thanks also to Jim and Paul from the forums (you know who you are) for parts that have transformed the car and to Brock and Jesse for all the impeccable work on the car – you guys are fantastic.

So the Allroad: I picked her up 2 weeks ago. I spec’d it as follows:

    - Premium Plus
    - Nav upgrade
    - Sports interior
    - Moonlight Blue
    - Roof Spoiler (they are installed at port, and are on backorder, so I got the car released and will have it fitted later)

I’m going for a kind of OEM+ look – so, to that end, here are the “enhancements” I’ve made thus far:

    - OEM 2012 S-line Avant suspension (thank you Jim)
    - Stasis S4/S5 rear Sway bar
    - OEM S4 front Sway bar (thank you John)
    - H&R spacers (20mm rear, 15 mm front)
    - Eurocode HFC (with 42 draft designs O2 spacer)
    - Eurocode Inlet Pipe
    - Eurocode HFIC pipe
    - AFE pro dry S filter
    - Tint (50% front, 20% rear)
    - PIAA ION Yellow Fog light bulbs
    - VAGCOM tricks

Items on the “to do” list:
    - APR Stage 2+ tune (awaiting release for 2013)
    - FMIC or IC piping upgrade
    - RS4/S4 Alu/Matte mirrors
    - A set of 19’s (potentially the 2013 RS4’s)
    - Considering the 2013 RS4/S4 front grill
    - P3 boost gauge
    - Any other performance mods that come recommended (open to suggestions)

I took a gamble of some of these mods – working with the Audi guys (who are amazing guys), they compared previous models with the 2013 and we “risked” things like the suspension. They were a calculated risk – and thankfully, everything worked out like a dream. The car is a joy to drive - the handling is just superb. I’m very pleased with the changes

    Now for the pictures:
