I did the same thing. But after taking them out a second time for some junk I installed a threaded insert (drill, ream, epoxy project) where that broken tab/ mount is on the housing and I have a thumb-screw I can tighten down to keep them from vibrating.

No bueno. Headlights are always sold as complete pieces.... and this is aftermarket depo light I believe which probably means that the insides are one-off design even though they might look similar to original stuff.

Yea I know that these are not real HELLA lights, I was able to obtain a pair of OE EURO assemblies for my 2.8 and they have this type of turn signal. I like them.

Those may be Depo lights but I'd bet the corners are based off the OEM Hella euro corner. They look identical to the pre-facelift V6 euro corners I bought not long ago hoping they'd work in my V8 lights (fail ) I bet you could swap them without issue into the OEM housings. As mentioned though, you can't buy the corners as a separate piece. That said, if you came across of set of damaged/cheap Depo lights for cheap you could just sacfrice them for the corners.....

I hope someone is able to answer this, but about how much force is needed to pry the piece off / break it???? ( bought the tool and gave it a try but didn't want to over do it, felt like i was pulling too hard)
Additionally where can I get the non orange bulbs???

Notes: My amber piece is only held on by 2 tabs

Good odds you'll end up with a couple small little scratches on the inside of the headlight reflector...but if you're careful they'll be so small you'd never notice. Getting the lens off (the right way to do it) really isn't that hard. The glue softens up pretty quick.
But then you have to heat up the left over glue and scrape it all out, clean everything.. I use 1/4" butyl tape to reinstall the lens if I remove one. Much more forgiving and easier to use than any type of RTV.
That didn't answer either of my questions though... Sorry to be rude but can you read what I asked again and answer those questions?

Yea thats definitely how to get help from here. Its not much force. Its clicked into place with 2 plastic tabs. And if you have the same turnsignal bulbs i have (3157) they sell all diferent colors. I get them off Amazon or Ebay. I just got my second set of switch back bulbs to compliment the clear corner. The bulb is white when on but flashes amber when the turn signal is activated.

Im 100% for using a hair drier or heat gun to soften the glue and actually open your headlight. In the US the reflector is mandatory. If its not in your headlight it's on the front bumper. I'd like to know that if i moved somewhere where the cops actually cared, i can open my headlight and pop them back in.

AND i reused the glue. The 3rd time i opened the headlights though it would get condenstation inside so i had to scrape it all out and reapply the butyl.

Heres a look at the tabs holding it in place

not to be rude, but have you read the VERY FIRST POST IN THIS THREAD? 3. Pull towards you firmly until the lens either snaps in half (ideal) or comes out of its slot (not so ideal).

What do you mean pulling too hard? You are pulling until it breaks. Sounds like your not pulling hard enough. Sound like its easier to just bake your lights.

I popped my reflectors with a hook pick, then broke it smaller with two long needle nose pliers so the chunks were small enough to come out the bulb hole, took longer to pull the headlights out than to remove the lens reflector.

    Ok cool I’ll dig more.

Does headlight removal require bumper removal?

My car was missing the buried torn on the outer edges, so for me it’s unplug, remove 2 bolts, use a screwdriver to pop the tab on the radiator side and it comes right out

What do you guys use to reseal the headlight after opening. I went with the old fashioned way of heating them and pulling them apart. IMG_0281.JPGIMG_0276.JPG

if you need to remove remnants of the old butyl, I found that low power hot soldering iron works great.

I take a flat head screw driver and hold it over a flame. Cuts through that butyl like butter.
