    infamous p0411 code

Alright so to start, I've been getting the infamous p0411 code, I reset it and it stays gone anywhere from 40kms of driving to 100kms.
Secondary Air Injection - Incorrect Flow...
Well I've replaced most of the 'dead' vac lines from the car, reset the code, it stayed gone for about 300kms, then came back.
Cleaned out the hard lines (crud build up) and sprayed cleaner in the kombi valve (egr), stayed gone for about 200kms.
Checked all lines I could find and found another frayed so replaced it and again reset the code.
Since then it comes back every 40 to 100kms of driving.

I know the system is kicking in as when its cold in the morning (around freezing) the engine idles up at around 1200-1300, then about a minute later drops to 800rpm.

When I first purchased the car, the previous owner had removed the airbox replacing the flat filter with a cone filter, and as there was no connection for the air pump on the stock TIP, he punched a hole in shortly after the MAF and sealed the hose in there with silicone. With this set up there was no code, since then I've replaced the stock ribbed hose with a smooth silicone SAMCO TIP. This one had one outlet very close to where the previous owner had the hose hooked into, however it was half the size. I ran a hose to connect the two and it ran perfectly fine for the first about 1500kms then the code began to trip.

So my question becomes as such, I'm sure if I destroyed my TIP as the previous owner had I'd get a more correct flow and thusly stop the annoying CEL. However as I intend to do one of two things (install a test pipe, or should I be unable to get one ordered, simply remove, gut, reinstall the CAT therefore SAI not needed), either find a way to correct the cause of the code, or remove the SAI
Simple removal of the SAI system will most likely still throw the code, however to my understanding (from what has been read, most of which contradicts itself) one can using VAG-COM software, write over it to basically tell the engine it never had the system. The only problem with this is I do not know how to do so.

I currently have downloaded (to try out the software) VCDS 11.11 however cannot get it to communicate with my bluetooth OBDII connector.
My other program ScanMaster ELM communicates no problem.

Which brings up my last question.
Running a few checks using said program I got these results.

Oxygen Sensor Test Results (Mode 05)
    Bank 1 - Sensor 1
    $81 - Manufacturer Specific Values / Units
    Value - 127
    Min - 90
    Max - 255
    Result - PASS
    $82 - Manufacturer Specific Values / Units
    Value - 128
    Min - 90
    Max - 255
    Result - PASS
    $83 - Manufacturer Specific Values / Units
    Value - 0
    Min - 15
    Max - 205
    Result - FAIL
    $84 - Manufacturer Specific Values / Units
    Value - 128
    Min - 0
    Max - 255
    Result - PASS

All results for Bank 1 - Sensor 2 Passed

    Running a System Status Check
    System Status (Mode 01)
    Non-Continuous Monitoring Tests
Evaporative System - Supported but not complete
Secondary Air System - Supported but not complete
Oxygen Sensor Heater - Supported but not complete

It seems to me like the front O2 sensor is going to die, is this correct, also would that cause the code?

Do you think running the SAI system off open air would cause the code, or clear it up considering I don't think its getting enough air from the port off the TIP.

If anyone would like pictures to know what I mean, I'll post some up, just request.

I haven't used my VAG COM in a long time, but I thought you can't over write codes? I'm getting this same error code and if I can over write the codes I'd get rid of the SAI system in a heart beat.
