Frontier, this one is 13 years old lol, I bought it from close 5 barely used for 75$ and the stickers inside say 2002/2003 for top/bottom bits respectively and it's skinny which to me looks better in the car and is plenty big enough for three/four snowboards in bags, with mine and my wife's I had so much room left I was packing our refrigerated foods in there to keep them chilled instead of a cooler with ice lol

Even though it's that old you can still buy them new

i was really looking forward to playing in some snow today, get a feel for the quattro, but it was all melted by the morning... having spent the last 3 winters with a toyota avalon i cant imagine what it'll be like. it was a great car with all the options but the traction control would just cut power isntead of even letting you try to slide... several walks up the hill through the neighborhood were had... rwd bmw only got stuck once so i have high hopes

This was my first goes in snow as I just got the car in august, it was amazing! I'm on vacation up in the mountains and back home we got the same kinda snow as you, melted immediately, the last three days has been real snow all day up here. It's been amazing.

Blew my mind how I could stop in the middle of a non plowed hill and get going without the traction control even kicking in, the best part is the rear kicks out before the front so all you gotta do is turn off the traction and boom you've got donuts lol

Now that I've had this I don't think I can go back to fwd

Lol you wanna send some free rubber my way and I'll confirm that for you

I do agree, I only have all seasons and I can get going amazingly (too easy even) but when it comes time to stop it is just as scary if not worse (because it's got a big fat ass) just as my other cars were

Definitely would put snow tires on if I saw more than five snows a winter

Agreed, so at least have some decent all seasons.

I've been using the regular old Conti DWS, not 06, on my titanium and go out in every blizzard and drive everywhere effortlessly. Daily drive no bubbles or issues. Interesting that you have been getting bubbling issues.

We had DWS because they came with the car. They were a decent tire in the snow, especially for a no-season, but that's it. A true winter tire is a night and day difference

I had none of those issues. Ran DWS from a 225 on a 9 to a 255 on a 9.5 to a 245 on a 10, never had bubbling, never had any of that stuff. Gonna run DW on the new setup since I run winters, and got a stupid deal on a new set of DW. Back to 235/40 on a 9.5 for me this upcoming season.

That said, even when I was running DWS, I run winter tires. It's the way to go, and you get to keep your wheels out of the nasty winter grind.

Prime, paint and clear with wet sanding between coats. I used Rustoleum automotive rattle can paint. After the clear has dried, wet sand with 1000 grit and polished with foam wheel in the drill and 3M Perfect-It II rubbing compound.

will make her dance. 235/45/17 on the stock wheels, picked the tires cause they seemed pretty solid across reviews. only 1 hydroplane ever on a wheel, otherwise been enjoying them a lot so far

DWS are great f you're willing to accept their compromises.

Personally I hate them. I would be fine getting them for the wife's car and she liked them on her old avant, but for me it's dedicated summer and winter tires. Or rather only summer tires in my case because I'm too poor to buy winters yet, haha. Damn newborns are EXPENSIVE!

my dsw tires gave me 2 bent wheels back to back. Never again and im going after the hype lmao. I had to air the tires every day. Im on no name cheap tires called "auto something" and they are holding on like
champs. even during a intense rainy mountain run lol. i even found out 2 tires are even mounted backwards

DSW is a scam. Sidewall is super weak.
