If you don't mind my asking, how much did those little bits of film cost? I have always considered doing this but have put it off but now that I'm dropping the car I'm really considering it again.

My guy only charged $50 but he cut me a deal for sure. He came to the house and after talking half the time he was only there 1.5 hours and the material is minimal. I'd say anything over $100 is too high.

I might be. I have ended up with two sets. I was asking Mop because he seems to be somewhat local. There is possibly an issue with one of of them. I will know for sure on Monday.

Just updating the thread...nothing going on here.

New Forgestar CF10's have arrived. 20x10 et23 with a 5mm H&R spacer in the rear. Black graphite in finish. One coat of black followed by satin silver. Very impressive finish in person. Pics do nothing for it. Also switched to Michelin PSS...love them. Another major mod some haters may notice....dipped the grill badge so its not noticable.

I LOVE your pics MOPS....you have a real eye for angles an nice shots of the vehicle. There's more to a quick shot and I'm new to the forum but your images have some real perspective that is bigger than just a wheel or car shot, know what I mean? Maybe I'm seeing more than you have intended at all but some of the shots are quite nice from a visual/photographic standpoint so I thought I would mention it.There's some movement stills from another member that are also really nice and cover worthy....

Saw mops car in person today all I can say is this thing is amazing!!! My wife loved it too!! The wheels are awesome I fell in love with them. Car sounds amazing, and I'm sold on the rotors for sure. Thanks for the muffler I'll let you know how it works out. Sorry I fell asleep after work lol

Sorry, I just saw this post. Thank you very much...have not has such a compliment before haha. I am no photographer but have a decent camera and try to get good unique shots but it s just pissing in the wind for me...well thats about it. I shoot in easy auto and do not modify them. You must be referring to ecrew....yes his shots are amazing and they come out amazing...on purpose:)

Thanks Jeremy...very nice comments. Glad to get that muffler to another...not easy to come by...you will love it on the Q. Your A4 and Q5 are amazing as well....very good taste you have. Check out Jeremy's cars if you have not. No worries lol, glad you woke before I started back!

I've noticed you haven't expressed an actual reason why the forgestars got the ax. (unless it's in a thread i didn't see, which is entirely possible).
I seem to recall a quote about the finish or problems with the finish.

What's the skinny?

Also, very nice setup. Do wheels that size take away the cornering feel or turn in?

I imagine they must make straight line acceleration much better, unless the unsprung blah blah blah (not an engineer) is too much and it's actually slower.

Finish was shit. Color was not as claimed and the actual powder coat was soft and began to chip after only a week or so. Nothing major but enough to be concerned long term. FS actually pulled the finish from the line-up. But yea, I sent them back and finally worked out a refund.
I have not noticed anything negative in comparison to the oem 8.5's or the 9, 9.5 or 10 inch wheels I have run. These actually feel the best of all previous setups. The super sports help I am sure. I have really pushed them and not even a squeal. I am sure these wheels/tires add a good 4-6 pounds per corner but that means little to me.

Picked up an S5 valence (great buy from Tboooe...thanks again) and sprayed it satin black. Tips are from Solo Performance. They are of great quality and I like that there is little taper and the tips are longer than any I have seen (also thanks to Tboooe for tracking these down). I had to redo the tail pipes to accomodate with a larger pipe and new format. This came out as a win....there are noticable gains performance wise and smooter accel. The fit is as good as possible...I even stood on a ladder to get them even while the shop lined them up. Gaps are dead on as well as poke. Only flaw is one side runs a bit up hill (Tboooe is the only person that would notice:).















Also did an 8 hour detail today











Picked up some note worthy products this last weekend. Found an Adams dist near me. I have exclusively used their carwash and detail spray over the past few years and tried out the APC, glass cleaner and leather conditioner. APC is awesome...miles above simple green. Glass cleaner was a pleasure to use. Leather conditioner was the best I have used hands down. Also used it on the dash and doors panels. Impressed
