inox is stainless, but stainless will corrode no matter what. It just takes longer than plain steel. With that being said. Apply anti seize to the entire threaded body, and spin the collars all the way down and then up to the spot where you want them. This should help prevent any seizing. but you may need to re-apply after some time as rain water may wash it away

Removing the perch or changing the springs..

No clunking for me. And I find the ride perfect, in fact I'm impressed.

I just had a set put on my car in the last month - ground to fender height is 25". I hear clunking sounds at very low speeds over minor bumps. I thought maybe it was an installation issue but after reading this thread i'm concerned it's a product defect. Does anyone have more details on that issue and/or a posible fix?

Man i can't wait just put my order in, will be in on friday! Just a quick question how did all you guys do installation? I was quoted 500 for installation/alignment which seems a bit steep. I would do it myself but it seems like quite the job especially if i dont have the proper tools. Also not sure if i need to take out that really bad bolt on the front suspension, my car has 91k on it so i guess you could say my suspension is nicely seasoned!

Coming from the makers of KW suspension systems the only main difference between the ST Variant 1 and KW Variant 1 is the steel they use. While KW uses Stainless Steel for their shock housing, ST uses Galvanized Steel. However, this does not mean a drop in quality, durability, or appearance. Although coilovers that use galvanized steel are more prone to corrosion due to environmental influences (i.e. mixture of salt water); those in the lower states: California, Texas, Florida, Nevada, etc. don't have to worry about corrosion. Those in the mid to upper States that snow still don't have much to worry about as long as they do not drive in heavy snow conditions upon where salt is used on roads. to further ensure those with doubt about Galvanized Steel, ST has corrosion resistant zinc plating on all of their threaded strut housings for further protection. They're definitely a great choice and I'm glad to hear that there are so many of you guys on audizine who are happy with this setup. I do also have some great deals running so feel free to drop me a PM if you guys have any questions at all!

This was just after swapping out the rear springs with 7" 750# hyperco's

It's settled since then. Driver's front still needs to come down a hair, the other 3 corners are sitting at 23.5" FTG

Tankdeer~ how many threads left on your Rears in those pics, I was thinking of going to 7" 750s but don't want the rear too low. I am just looking for a stiffer rear spring, not necessarily the lows.
Expenses in F1 have gone down since the 1960s because teams don't need an extra pit crew to help the driver carry around his balls when he is not in the car.

That is bottomed out in the rear. I've since raised up the driver's rear about 1/8" to even it out with the other side. There's plenty of room to go higher if you want.

Thanks! I have 6" which I know will be too low, and the ST's are roughly 8" so i figured 7" was a good comprimise.
