A few AZ members including myself have expressed interest in a dual oval exhaust tip setup w/ a matching valance for the 2.0T. The B8 body style is just screaming for it IMHO. Btw, I appreciate this post a lot. Very rarely do we see tuners ask the community this kind of question outright. Much respect

Hey Don, I'm going to put some proper thought into this but I just wanted to mirror 'ItsDubC's' sentiment ...... I don't think one other tuner has asked our opinion on what is lacking for the platform. It's a refreshing change to see the customer getting asked what they would like to see come to market.

I'll start with a 3.0T transplant.....you probably have some experience with that now ;)

how about the S-line rear valance for the non-S-line bumpers? how about mesh fog grilles for the non-s-line similar to OSIR?

Dual oval exhaust would look awsome on our cars, I really like it on the TT. I also want nicer seats I am not a bug fan of the factory ones I have.

    Ditto on:
Better rear valence for non s-line.
S-line fog grilles for non s-line.
    Also:

    1. Custom side blades. Make it something more aggressive than OEM, but different from the OEM side blades. Side skirts are too much, but a nicely done blade can fit the B8 style nicely.

    2. Custom tail lights. Do something TOTALLY different than the OEM LEDs for the 2009 people, or even as an alternative to the 2010/11 LED people. Example: look at what they're doing for the Genesis Coupe. The aftermarket piece completely changed the look of the rear, and it works BETTER than the OEMs.

    3. More intercoolers, more exhaust, more Stage 3 kits. Also, supercharger kit for the 2.0T.

    4. Tiptronic replacement knob.

    5. LED fog light assembly to replace the stock fog housing completely. Or maybe build something into a custom fog trim cover. Non S-line people will be even more interested.

BAT kit. something comparable to the elim on a B5 1.8t at least. it'd be great if the exhaust mani was made like the full race package so you can easily swap turboes while keeping the same mani. a better flowing intake mani like the SPA mani for the B5.

That is not possible with the 2.0T. the exhaust manifold in molded onto the exhaust side of the turbo. Sorry. you would have to replace the turbo to another sytle for a new manifold.

    - More choices in FMIC (only one currently officially introduced to the market and there needs to be some competition to ensure an optimal configuration)
    - Intakes (it would be nice to see scientific evidence that aftermarket intakes are providing more air than our stock units and aren't just for sound)
    - W/M injection (a properly designed/tuned 2.0 TFSI "out of the box" solution)

    - making this pig lighter.....a paintable CF hood comes to mind.
    - a CF engine cover (that won't yellow)

    - Non-Sline DTM style CF valence for single tips/dual side

    - A nice looking LED tail for the Avant...similar to the Euro A3

    1. I have been looking EVERYWHERE for a replacement of the UGLY silverish plastic instrument cluster fascia surrounding the screen and left air vent. Black brushed aluminum, or piano black, I think, would be a nice touch. However, I'd settle for just about anything at this point. (I don't think CF would look that great b/c it's too much area to cover and it might clash with the rest of the silver, textured trim accents). I find this to be near the top of the A4 need list. One of Audi's selling points is supposed to be its world class interior, but I really feel like they dropped the ball with the choice of material on that fascia. For me, its the single most dissappointing part of the car. I hope others +1 me on this, but I'd pay a lot for this upgrade.

    2. +1 on the dual oval exhaust, with matching valence (the S-line valence almost nails it. If you go with a honeycomb insert, please make it actually ventillated, rather than a solid piece of plastic which simply has the appearance of having ventilation. The RS5 valence looks sick too, but I wouldn't want to copy it exactly.

yeah pretty much... i'd love to find a way to turn my 3.2 into the 3.0T without doing a complete motor swap...

its the same short block after all... differences are mainly in the head, with the VVT taken out of the exhaust, and at a slightly lower compression ratio.

Mesh grill replacement for front and fog positions - Sline and non-sline. Basically there are more non-sline owners than there are slines, wouldn't mind seeing more mods for us.

Upcoming - RS5 inspired front and rear valences :)

I think the silver dash looks really nice. Black would make it look dull and boring. Piano black would be nice, but a pain to care.

Something that doesn't expand/creak/click as much with temp changes would be nice though.

Also, just thought of another thing. Seats. Something like the S4 or RS4/RS6/R8 Recaros. It'd be nice if the motor controls are kept, but also lighter than stock seats.

    Non-sport A4 seats blow. I want something more supportive/hugging.

2nd. Why oh why did I get tan interior. :(

It WOULD look nice/ok if it was real metal. A quality interior that feels/looks nice needs to have metal where the designers planned for a metal look. Silver/Metal looking plastic always feels and sometimes looks trashy. Most loyal Audi owners (myself included) recognize this subtle element of cabin interiors. You know that creaking/clicking you're talking about? It's because it's cheap plastic... So why are you DEFENDING the instrument surround and criticizing it simultaneously on a thread meant for product suggestions? Particularly if you WANT an upgrade for it like me???

^^Definitely this. I hate that the Avant doesn't have LED tails, something nice like that I would buy.

Those LED "light pipes" look 10x better than the LED tails that come stock on '10+ B8 A4 sedans. I prefer my '09 non-LED tails to the '10 sedan LED tails but I'd probably upgrade to those A3-style tails if they were offered for our B8s.
