yes it is, i just bought it (the console comes complete with the silver buttons, you cant buy the buttons separately).

you need to know the exact PR option details for your A4/A5 S4/S5 as the RS5 MMI console shown above comes in many variations for radio "High" "Low" "rest of world" "japan" etc etc etc.......

You would need to order the one without the start button then, the buttons are part of the assembly and not something sold seperately, nor easily moved.

straight out swap if you order the correct version for your MMI + whatever option(s) you have on your car.

unplug all the cables, the start button connector is very short so be carful when prying it out.
start button is hardest to remove and swap over of all buttons. need a small thin screwdriver to get at the release clips.
the rest is pretty easy to un-clip and remount into the new console

the chrome surround around the leather boot is really thin and ya gotta be really really carful not to break it.

with the CF in the car it looks totally different!....

    downside is the cost.....

after install, clear the fault codes with VAGCOM cos you unplugged the MMI panel, park brake etc.

The white plastic rod with a hole on top in the shifter column is the piece that need to be twisted 90 degrees with either a heat gun or lighter to work with the A3 S-tronic knob with the button located at the 12 o'clock position. (didn't take pic after twisted as I didn't wanna interrupt my friend) It is then mated to my original shift boot.

I definitely want to get that RS5 console and the s-tronic shift knob. I wonder if it's possible to get a RS5 knob and put the s4 logo on it.. It would look sick. I'm wondering if you could pop out the S5 logo and stick a S4 circle on top.

Bumping this thread; has anyone in the US found a source for the aluminum button center console and done this? It looks like BKS Tuning in Germany carries it: http://www.bks-tuning.com/Audi-RS5-M...-control-Panel.

That is hill assist, it will hold the brakes on until forward pull is sensed to prevent clutch burn and the car rolling backwards on takeoff when on steep inclines.

Not on the S4 currently. Much like headlamp washers and auto folding mirrors, these are all EU features left off to make more money in the US.

I appreciate the cost difference in the US vs EU, but they could still offer it as an add on

Just as an FYI for anyone searching

I did attempt to do a button swap of my old MMI High panel I had laying around so see if you could swap over the aluminum buttons surrounding the joystick

They can be changed but the buttons are a different shape from the PFL to the FL silver ones and I'm assuming the RS5 ones

Every individual button can be swapped so If anyone needs spare buttons I have a console available. You simply remove the screws on back, pry the tabs and it comes right apart
