I'm still waiting for my housing to come in... but I've had all other items for a while now (Kufatec, HID kit, vag-com).
I got tired of waiting and decided to work the Kufatec adapter ahead of time, and just plug and play the headlights when it comes in.

    Shout out to desi4life10!
He is a co-worker, a friend with a mean beemer, he definitely knew what he was doing

Shot of the Kufatec adapter... authentic!

Toughest part is definitely fishing for that high beam pin wires... through that round rubber diaphragm thing. You can see our 'guide' wire with green tape on it.

Finally got it through... took about 30 min just for this lol

This is a shot from inside... under the dash, with boards taken out, and everything pinned in (brown to 3, red to 9). You can see the diaphragm with the wires going through.

Ran the wire along with these brake lines...

And we bagged the adapters in a plastic baggie, zip tied to a safe corner for easy access when the headlights come in...

Took about 2 hours... I'm a complete noob, buddy is a pro with beemer but first time on Audi... but I think we still did good

    Shot of our cars together...

Can't hardly wait for the housings!!!!!

    In need of some help.

I installed the xenons into my A4 about a year ago but never installed the high beam wiring and left it coiled up under the hood.
I am currently in the process of selling the vehicle and would like to properly have the high beams working for the buyer.
I have no time to finish the install myself and I'm a little worried the dealer will have no clue what to do.
Could somebody tell me where the pins for the high beams go and the updated coding? I will be passing the info on to the dealer.

I apologize this is probably clearly discussed somewhere in here but I'm in a rush and need a clear answer for the dealer tech.

    Any help would be appreciated
    Thanks guys

    O_o
This page alone has two three posts about the pins...

Wires should be marked as "pin 3" and "pin 9".
Pin 3 goes to brown connector, pin 9 goes to red connector.
Connectors are under the dash, you need to take out the trim boards... There should be red, brown, black, and green connectors inside...
You need to feed the wires thru the round rubber hole underneath the firewall...

I'd say forget about wiring it in, re-install your halogens, and sell your xenons with kufatec...

Did you end up wiring it in?
Or take AWDLover's advice and put the halogens back in?
If you had ecodes xenons, I'll take them from you... :)

The dealer said they couldn't tamper with non oem modifications etc. So i haven't done the wiring yet. Im gonna keep them on the vehicle for now and see if i get my asking price. If it doesn't sell, ill part them out. They are Ecodes.

Hi guys, Thanks for your post. I have almost done the retrofit. But I got a problem. The extra wires in the Kufatec Adapter are missing the tips, meaning that I can not put them in the slot in the red and tan clips. Where can I buy them? What are they called? Thanks in advance.

I believe OP broke those pins as well...
There is some info regarding those pins in this thread somewhere...

I believe the part # you are looking for is 000-979-034-E.
My harness was second hand, so it looks like I will need to be ordering these as well.

    Hi PK,

I got another question. My wires are not marked with "pin 3" and "pin 9". The longer wire goes to the right lamp, while the shorter on the left. That's all I know. Which one is "pin 3"?

There are many slots in the clips. How do I know which one is "pin3"?

    Ah, I actually don't remember if longer was a 3 or 9...
Is there absolutely nothing written on the wire??
Mine even had which color ot goes to (I. E. Braun = brown in german)
You can always swap the two if it doesn't work out...

As for pinning, there should be number written on the connector... It will also be evident where they get pinned to (empty slot)

PK, I'm going to be finishing up the wiring tomorrow. Once i get to the brown/red connections, do the 2 wires just plug in? Im reading some people needing an audi tech or mechanic for this portion of the install and I'm confused as to why.

I was very confused as well because they just plugged right in with a "click" sound, as long as you put it in the right direction (one way or the other. Wrong way will just not hold on, no click sound).
It wasn't very difficult, but then again, I had a real good partner helping out as well...
    Anyways, good luck.

No, you have to unplug them as there's a plastic tension/locking clip that has to be released in order to insert the new pins.

Removing the plug should be easy, it pulls right out while depressing the lower locking tab.

It would be so cool to fit these A6 LED lights on an A4.
Some serious body work would be needed, but I guess nothing is impossible ;)

    Thanks!
Sent the money to Jens for the housings.
    750 USD incl. shipping.
It would be a tough price to pay if I already had xenons and was just looking to switch to ecodes... but since I'm moving up directly from halogens, it's a good price to pay imo.
The housing is used but it looks super clean - it might have a few speckles or two when looked at it from close but I don't think I'm that picky.

    Super excited :)

I bought all ballasts and the bulbs brand new from hidconcept so I didn't need to buy them from Jens (although I would have saved some money if I returned these and buy his, but I don't have time).

If you are certain that you've pinned in correctly, it's either the wire is defected or you didn't code it correctly.
    Try inspecting them.

I have had the worst luck with getting these highbeams working.
I took the car to a reputable audi shop about an hour away this morning to have them pinned in. I find out my current pins were broken so they replaced them and get the highbeams are working. I just get home to realize only 1 is working. I double checked the coding, tried 1D0D and 5D5D and no luck. So as of right now, only my passenger side highbeam works. Ill be taking it back tomorrow to see if it was an error on their part.

    Damn... That's too bad bro.
I would blame the shop on that, since they didn't verify.

For those of you that ordered the adapter with yellow cables off ebay, how long did it take to ship to you? I have one on order and the wait is killing me haha been almost 2 weeks. Also have a kufatec coming, but knew that would take about a month or more to get. Figure I will sell one of them..

Kufatec is in Germany, though they do have a US distributor. When I ordered, the website had a lead time of 3-4 weeks, which was confirmed by the US distributor. However, the website now lists the part is 'available now'. I contacted them and hopefully will get mine sooner!
