search for "bixenon conversion" and you'll find a big thread on it. OEM swap including the lights, ballasts, wires/adapters, and coding comes to around $1k i believe.

I'm sorry I meant that I have all the required parts .... And was wondering if there's some shop or someone that does the installation and how much.

oh i see, well labor shouldnt really be much, not sure if the coding is ready to go you might want to check that thread. but otherwise labor of putting in the lights should be pretty standard, like half hour of work prob. i would just find an independent shop, local audi/vw mechanics that would be familiar with the parts and harnesses and do it right.

Is there anyone in the CT area that would be interested in letting me borrow a VAGCOM for a few minutes? I need to recode my radio so I can install the Aux-In I just purchased. I'm a new B7 A4, stg III (APR) owner and have access to buying a vag com. I know its for tunning, but how much can i do with this thing? Never really tuned a car before, but i have common sense, electrical engr and this car is a daily driver. I'm looking for some advice on the vag's capability.

I don't know about it having anything to do with tuning, but this is basically a dealer oem quality tool. You can do as much as dealer and then some.

The professional one which cost a lot more than the basic, you can use for engine tuning. Most people have the basic one which you can use for basic ecu changes.

Hey all,

I'm generally new to this forum and car modding in general but after getting my second stage 1, k&n filter, eurocode uss f/r sways i think I'm ready to take the plunge with vag com mods. The only problem is that it doesnt seem worth it for me to spend 350 for a cable i only plan on using once to complete these mods. I would greatly appreciate it if one of you helpful modders could lend it to me or help me go through some of the easy mods i have a mind to do. I'd gladly barter beers or cash for the cable and any knowledge you are willing to pass on!

I am in Ramsey and Jersey city but obviously i have a car to drive!

Guys, i live in Brooklyn and can honestly drive to any borough - i need help with some VAG-COM mods(like seat belt chime, windows down with key fob) i can provide beers or whatever you drink or prefer.
i will like to get involved in the local Audi scene as well.
