A little C6 Mod love. Pics Pics Pics!!

Well it's no secret that the AZ crew is in love with the C5. Allthough I love the C5 I have to say that I love my C6 more. So here's the progress of my C6. Keep in mind that I've only had it for 4 months, and as we've established, engine mods are non existent for this car. So this is an all show no go build up.

This is the way the car came to me. It was a A6 3.2 Quattro Sport.





First I added 5% tint all the way around.









Then I swapped out that poorly color matched grille insert with a OEM Euro plate holder sourced from the UK and a real used Berlin plate.





And this past weekend I swapped the AudiSport springs for H&R Sport springs. (OEM springs are up for grabs in the Classifieds)

it really looks great..i only have 2 thinks to say besides that...get coilovers and go lower, and like you said the rims are much needed to complete a great look..but i reall like it..looks sexy keep it up!

As a matter of fact H&R does have both for this thing. I really like the stance the way it is. I really don't want to tuck the wheels, and the ride quality is really important to me. So this is about as low as it's gonna go. The thing handles great and as big and heavy as it is I was able to keep up in the twisties with a MkIV GLI with coils, and sways.

And as far as rims go....that's a little surprise.

What shocks are you running? I'm looking to lower my C6, but keep going back and forth between Eibach and H&R Sport Springs....I'm thinking about going with the Eibach / Koni combo. I know everyone is going to say coliovers, but I'm not looking for too much of a drop and I don't want to be "that" dad with two kids in the back of a super pimped-out car.

lookin good so far. cant wait to see how the wheels look. imo put wheels on, and if drop isnt good enough then look into c/o's. i wouldnt sacrifice any ride quality in the c6

LOL If you already have Sport suspension in the car, then you really won't notice any drop with the Eibachs since they only drop the car 1.2 inches, and the sport springs are already an inch lower. That's why I wen't with the H&Rs, they're 1.6in lower then the standard suspension.. As far as the shocks...and I'm about to get beat over the head over this one...I'm running the AudiSport #2 shocks. They were paired with the AudiSport springs and gave me a really good ride.

Using stock shocks won't really be that big of a problem in the short run... now in the long run (if you travel on super rough roads alot), expect your shock's life to cut in half (or maybe even less).

If you have fairly good roads, you'll be fine for a long while.

The lower springs put greater stress on the shocks.

Well yeah, the roads here in Vegas are in damn good shape considering we don't have snow and that dam freeze/thaw cycle that causes potholes. And I figured the shocks should be good since the H&R's are only about a half inch lower then the AudiSport springs that they were paired with origionally. But if and when they go...they'll get replaced. No biggie.

Yeah that thing is rare as hell. Only done for 2 years. And only 4 of them in Vegas. They call it Canyon Red. I love it!!! Definately a head turner. And with the wheels I'm gonna run...MONEY!! We jokingly call her the "Panty Dropper" in my club. LOL And thanks for all the positive feedback. AZ ROCKS!!!

Well guys, the wheels were ordered on the 30th...last friday. Hope to see them by the end of the week/beginning of the weekend. So as soon as the wheels show up I'll be throwing them on the car and shooting some more pics.

Patience my friend...patience. Where's the fun if I just told everyone what I was gonna run. But I'll give you guys a few clues. 19x8.5 et35 hyper black with a polished lip. But that's all you'll get out of me...for now!

Oh it's not what you're thinking of. Not gloss black..Hyper black is like an little darker silver...but not gray. Plus it almost has a chrome quality to it...hard to explain, but will be tits!!!

Actually these RS4 reps that were on my B6 Passat Variant were Hyper Black. Allthough the new wheels will be just a bit darker.
