Another Boost Loss, Oil Leak thread...

I have an AWE OTS Stage 3 tune, PJ Ko4s and thought I got bit by the turbo bug this weekend. Obviously, whenever something is wrong, this is the first thought.

Ive had a few different symptoms and I'm at a bit of a loss.

*Car starting loosing boost, only hits 17lbs and tapers to 15, as opposed to 21 to 19. This is consistent. I did a leak test and found a leak. Reclamped, system was good.

*Went to change the oil the same day. Had a bit of oil on the bottom of the oil pan and scattered throughout the bottom of the engine. Not alot, but oil nonetheless. Pulled off my IC hoses, found a very small amount.

I always have a CEL for O2 sensors, since Im running AWE DPs and Test Pipes. I just pulled the codes today to see if there were additional codes and found the following:

    17530 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor Heating; B2 S2: Open Circuit P1122 - 35-00 - -
    17526 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor Heating; B1 S2: Open Circuit P1118 - 35-00 - -
    17522 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor; B1 S2: Internal Resistance too High P1114 - 35-00 - -
    17548 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor; B2 S2: Internal Resistance too High P1140 - 35-00 - -
    17862 - Exhaust Gas Temp Sensor 1 (G235): Short to Ground P1454 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
    17866 - Exhaust Gas Temp Sensor 2 (G236): Short to Ground P1458 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
    16684 - Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected
    16685 - Cylinder 1: Misfire Detected P0301 -
    16688 - Cylinder 4: Misfire Detected P0304 -

I am going to replace the EGTs. This does not explain the oil. No whine, little smoke out of the exhaust, which has been relevant since owning.

    Any thoughts?

Change EGT for sure, but the oil not sure, are you able to see oil around either turbo?

A small amount of oil in the IC's is normal. To fine a leak on the engine clean it real good, drive it around and look for fresh oil.

Most definately. As far as the oil around the turbo, No. I am going to continue to check.

If there isn't any oil coming from up higher than the oil pan, I would think it was the oil pan gasket.

I've had a small leak for a while and couldn't find where it was coming from until just recently. I thought it was my valve cover gasket which was installed recently during my timing belt job, but its actually coming from the timing chain tensioner.

    Good luck.

That was my initial thought. I am going to attempt to pinpoint the leak. Another thought was the filter not seated correctly or the oil plug washer.

As far as the oil, I had my rear main seal replaced a few months ago after months of complaining to Audi, they finally added some fluorescent dye to the oil and checked for leaks with a black light.

swapped the passenger side EGT this weekend (still waiting for my drivers side) and the short to ground changed to an 17863 - Implausible Signal.

I did not clear the codes, but its odds the code changed.
