Our car's intakes are NEARLY perfect the way they are. You are NOT going to add 15hp by adding an intake to it. JDM car's stock intakes aren't engineered tirelessly to be as good as our stock ones, which is why CAIs are popular bolt on mods for easy power there.

I'll try out the "swiss cheesing" or the "darintake" but from every one i know around here they say its pointless.

From my experience you only hear it when your, say STG 1 otherwise you won't hear it over the exhaust.

When i had the GIAC and intake installed yes it sounded like that but only when i let off the gas under partial boost. full boost was def story.

B/C i want to ? is there some written clause that you cant want your car to make noise cuz its any audi? and im not the only one, at H20 there was over 20 S4's running straight BOVs

Yes it could be heard outside the car, but like i said with exhaust you won't hear it. I've been running a simliar setup for 2 years.

Then run an open element intake and stop making damn threads about "Hai guiz wat int8k should i buy?!"
Darintake provides minimal gains, just like any other intake. It's worth it to do it, since its like a 20 minute mod. Try things out and see how you like them, that's what i did, and im sure MANY other members of this forum have done, without making threads about them.
ANY of them will do it.

You're not going to have a BOV sound with a DV, it's that simple, dude. Just because your buddy's gli has tha sound doesnt mean you will

if it makes you happy then buy an intake. im just tying to tell you that you dont need to waist ur money. cut you airbox. there are also bov/dv's if you really want. you can turn a knob that lets you make them bov's or dv's or both. if you really want you can but 2 hks bov's on and plug the hose that goes back into the intake. and u just made your car run and sound like a POS srt4. happy? was that the info you were looking for?

I run evoms in the winter, RS4 in the summer. Workes great but its extra work.

what DVs did/do u have?

Bailey's/w ABD big bore intake was my old setup. either way just do the stock airbox darintake mod. If you want the noise you can use HKS blow-offs but prepare to put on another flame suit.
