im still toying with pulling the engine and tranny out to do the clutch and trans rebuild but idont know if i want to tie up one of my hoists for that long (its too cold outside to work) so yeah isnt bordom great!!!!!

Wouldn't have been my first choice, but then again red wouldn't have been either

it is the wrinkle finish paint, i want to see how it holds up to see if i really need to send the parts for p/c on the engine im building to replace this one thats in the car now. the spacer makes a bit of a difference when putting on the secondary air pump and the crank case breather pipes/spider pos other than that i dont know yet.

theres those pics. i think it looks fine. the mani looks sweet too. once weather starts to get better i need to start making my engine bay look alot nicer

ok so now that its going on almost a week and a half i decided to post some more picks of my progress. oh heres a full list of what i did/doing, timing belt, all timing components, water pump, t-stat, vc/chain ten gaskes, cam seals, crank breather hose/spider, 5mm JHM intake spacers, aux coolant pump relocation, 034 street den motor mounts, turbo oil return line orings, oil pan gasket (not that it was leaking i wanted to see what the engine looked like/ sludge build up) JHM/Vast ele cooling fan, JHM fmic, tune up/80k service, and black the head lights, and a bunch of misc little things.





edit: oh and btw my fog lights still fit in the stock location

So far, I think everything looks really nice! I like the red crinkle paint, very B7 RS4...
And for some reason, it really shows how short these engines are.

yes the headlight part is a gloss black and the trim aroung the front is flat black
