the suggestions arent bad. i was getting down to take off my fog lights tonite because i dont want the bumper to, um, fall off unexpectedly and take my fogs with it, and when i was down there i looked quick behind the bumper and the plastic tabs on each side, i think i counted six, were all broken off and the only thing holding the bumper on were the bolts in the center underneith the hood grill. i was able to "manipulate" the bumper so it didnt look like it was peeling off the car and i'm nto sure how long it will last, but at least at very first glance it doesnt look like there's anything wrong w/ it. before i took the fogs off i got a bulb out warning so i'm gonna deal w/ that when i get the new bumper. but as for now, tomorrow i'm going to try to get it up on a lift so i can get underneith it and see what i can do to make it more secure whether it be w/ zip ties or what. then when i'm sure it wont fall off, i'll let it go for a bit.. i'm not worried about it not passing inspection altho it is due in march, but i was worried about it just falling off and not having any bumper at all since i might get pulled over for that. i have a friend w/ a paint booth who will prob paint a new one for like $100, it just wont be blended in w/ the paint on the car but i trust the guy whos doing it to make it as good as it can be w/out being on the car because then the price goes way up since he has to tape everything off and blend it. and i was also going to just have him paint it so it is ready to go that way when i put on the front mount, i have to take the old one off anyways and i'll have the new one to put on.. i wont be doing the R&R twice. so far, the winning bumper is the one from this link..

it's under $300 shipped and also i called the number on the page and talked to the guy and am pretty satisfied with what he had to say about it. and i figure when the bumper gets painted, i'll have the eyelids painted so i'm not flamed as much on here.
keep in mind, it's not going to be a show car, and i dont have the budget that some people on here have (i am currently unemployed and awaiting a start date for an awesome paying job). this is my daily driver and where i dont want it to look like a busted ass highschooler's civic since it is an audi, i also cant afford to just buy the best there is and pay top dollar.
