What do I need to make OEM S4 BBS CH wheels fit?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Besides duct tape, what will I need to get to make these clear the brakes and mount properly?

    Thanks all

I didnt, another B5 s4 did, and they didn't fit over the front brakes.

As they are the OEM CH's from the 06 S4, I assume I will need spacers, but I'm not sure how much "space" I will need.

I don't actually know the offset, was hoping someone on here could help me with that as well.

The OEM wheels are 18x8 with an ET43.
If they fit over the B7 s4 brakes it shouldnt be a problem on a B5.

Correct me if im wrong but arent the stock frt B5 s4 rotors 321x30
The stock frt B7 s4 rotors are 345x30.
Are the B5's calipers that much larger?

A big rotor doesn't necessarily mean you have a big caliper.

For a second there I thought you were Captain Obvious.

It's tough to decifer "bigger", some people mean wider and some people mean thicker.

Re: What do I need to make OEM S4 BBS CH wheels fit?

Look in the back of the wheels to find the offset, somewhere stamped into the back will be "et..", the number that follows will be the offset. The 19" CHs I had on mine were et50 and I ran 15mm spacers to make them et35, they were close to the brakes and suspension but cleared just fine. So whatever offset they are I'd say to find the spacer width you require you need to minus 35 off the offset number in the back and that will leave you with what size spacer you'll need. So for example if they say they're et40, 40-5=35, so a 5mm spacer should do it. Failing that take some thick cardboard cut into spacer size circles and layer them up with test fittinf to see when theyre thick enough to clear the brakes, then measure the thickness of what you've made and get some spacers in that width. Hope this helps!
Looking at the centres where the bolt holes are on your CHs they look deeper than mine, so probably already closer to the offset you need.

So if OEM is ET43, and B5 S4's require ET35 (Correct?) than I will need an 8mm spacer?

It all depends on the width of the wheel. An ET35 on an 8" wheel is different than an ET35 on an 8.5" or 9" etc.

Re: What do I need to make OEM S4 BBS CH wheels fit?

FYI, if they say "Motorsport" on them, they are CH's and are forged. 18x8.5, et35

If they don't, they are oe Audi BBS CO's and are cast. 18x8, et43

My Ch's don't need spacers. I have been told that CO's do.

Re: What do I need to make OEM S4 BBS CH wheels fit?

My 19" CHs were 8" wide and ran them at et35, worked for me. Again on the back of the wheel it'll have the width stamped in it. "..J" So my 8" wheels had 8J stamped in them, Can't say what width yours are without looking or measuring, they made 18s and 19s from 8" wide up to 10".

regular CH's are NOT forged lol.. the RE's are forged CH's are cast

the b7 s4 CH's to my knowledge do NOT fit our cars.. you need spacers.. maybe 5mm up front..

first of all.. their not ch's, if anything they would be CO's.

Secondly, you will need 5 mm spacers on the front, and your fine on the rear, but I would do 5 mm on the rear as well just so its even..

I did 10mm on mine just to give it a nice stance. No I dont have pics with them on the car just in case you ask. lol

You will need spacers and new lugs, but not hubcentric rings.
