How much attention does your S bring?

I've only had my '01.5 Pearl for a week now but she's already grabbed a lot of stares. I think waxing the shit out of her really helped. From the typical non car enthusiasts I am asked if it's an '08 or '09. I just bought her from a dealer and they put their plates on. I've seen a few waves and a few thumbs up. For a car that is 7-9 years old, I didn't think I'd be getting this much attention! B5 A4's are everywhere yet the S4 just has subtle body differences that really sets it apart. I absolutely love it! What's your stories?

The general public knows nothing about cars, lol. When my car is clean I will sometimes be at a gas station and get the same remarks. "So when did you pick it up? It's a 2008?" "What year is that car it looks brand new?" or the best one "How did you afford a new car at such a young age?"

Haha, but they are all the clueless ones. Although, my car does have the LED strips.

Going to school here in socal, especially in La Jolla my car gets little attention, with all the baller ass cars around me... But Must feel cool though to have your car complimented like that..

My silver S4 mostly goes unnoticed by most people, even in the summer with the 19's on it!

Beside other Audi drivers, I do get the thumbs up and nods from some Bmw M3 or 540i drivers, as well as Volvo s60r's, AMG merc's, Subaru guys etc.

Basically, people "in the know" when it comes to euro cars, give me attention. Corolla drivers don't even know what brand a car is if the name isn't badged on the trunk.

When people do ask about it, they are surprised its a 7yr old car!

I dont get much attention up here with it, had a few fanboys ask me about it at a gas station. Also had some middle-aged people give me some strange/dirty looks when I get out of it. They probably dont think it's my car.

Moreover, the people who DO know what it is have asked how many miles are on it... When I say "46k!" Their jaws drop. Then they ask if it's stock... My favorite answer, "No." I usually leave it there. :P

Pretty much the same for me. The only attention I get is from other people driving by me with "FLASHING LIGHTS" directly behind me. DWB.

I don't have an S so I can't say, but I hope that if I do get a B5 it doesn't draw much. I don't feel the need to get hassled by cops or have a thief decide it would be a good car to jack

By most people, not that much, but the straight pipes dont help.. I've gotten one loud exhaust ticket that was taken away in court but the S4 draws LESS ricer attention than the E36 M3 I had... That car drew in a crowd. Too bad I have double the HP now :-p.

It's tough though where I live you have a lot of peckers driving new M3s, old guys in GT3RS, GT2 Lambos, doesn't even show up on their radar.... That is until I kick their ass !

I get comment a lot like people said above on how they cant believe its an 01. For some reason everyone thinks its atleast an 04-05. For an 8 year old car, I still love the way the b5 looks. Im not sure if I will ever not like the b5 body style.

Most of the time though, people have no idea what an s4 is anyways but just like the way it looks I guess.

Well, cops appear to like the car. They usually say "nice car". Had some noob with a saturn ion or w/e ask if it was turbocharged...Other than that, most people compliment it because it's an audi (most don't know what the "s4" stands for). Most people that ride in the car compliment on how smooth of a ride it is.

Definitely get a lot of attention, especially on the Baltimore Beltway. Several non car people thought it was a new car when I bought last year. People think I am lying when I tell them its an 01.5 with 130k. Gotta love Audis

My Laser get's alot of looks from people when i'm driving it around. Have had people coming in to work and asking about "the red S4 in the parking lot, Do you know who's it is?" I always says it's mine with a Big smile...

On of the reason's could be that my S i almost never dirty. Always shiny as hell!

I got more attention with the TT Roadster. It had the baseball leather interior so during the summer at the pump people would come up to check out the interior.

I do get a little attention since there aren't many Avants this clean in the area.

My imola yellow S4 gets a lot of attention when i cruise beachside. You'd be suprised how many people you throw for a loop once you add a german plate as well. Ive had one too many people ask me if its imported. Technically it was but i just say no. Tends to get me a lot of police attention too but the cops here suck anyway.

I had three people at the Audi dealership ask me where I got my seats done. The salesman, the mechanic and the service guy.

with the silver car i literally got no attention whatsoever. 4 years of blending in. with the nogaro i've had like half a dozen or so compliments/questions at the gas pump over the past 2 months... i think color really does matter. most people probably thought the silver one was an A4 or something
