Brake Lights Refuse to Shut Off?

This ever happen to anyone? Tail lights plus the 3rd brake light?

1st time I noticed it was this morning: I turned the car on and the lights went off. Fine. Or so I thought...

2nd time was this evening, after driving 30ish miles. I noticed all the brake lights remained on as I was about to walk away. And then they just would not turn off. I tried turning the car on, turning it off, hitting the brake pedal, hitting the gas, in gear and out of gear, turning the headlights on, then the fogs, turning them off, etc etc. Nothing would turn the brake lights off.

On my next drive they turned off, and then stayed off after I parked for the night. Thankfully they won't drain the battery tonight.

I'm wondering what I should do if this happens again

yeah happened to me for a week..

Then stopped everything fine now! knowck on wood!!

if you can get the part its a pretty easy fix, i adjusted mine to make the lights come on sooner when i press the brake pedal and i was lookin at it pretty good when i adjusted it, and it seems pretty easy to replace. just gotta study where every thing goes and be careful.
