Which Chip is Better???

After I throw my new wheels on the next step is chip that bitch. I want to get as much feedback as possible in order to make the right decision on which company to go with. Thanx guys.

"giac = more aggressive, apr=less aggressive, vast is awesome blah blah blah"
my suggestion; since they all do the same thing on stock turbos go with what you can get cheapest

i did the unitronics stage 1+ its about 340hp and 365 torque, its a learning chip so the more of a jackass you drive the more boost and hp it gives and then stays like that, mine spikes at 20lbs of boost and tapers to 17-18 to redline

I ran the same poll in the C5 section and it is interesting to see how many more people are voting for the custom tune rather than apr or giac.

Doritos are the weaksauce. I had Doritos once, and pulled timing like you wouldn't believe (even on C16)

Like someone stated above. APR to be safe, GIAC if you just don't car about those stock turbos, etc. etc. I have an APR Ecu, and liked it. Unitronic is doing a custom tune for my single kit, but VAST is very good also obviously. It is all in what you can get and how much you don't mind spending...

^^^^As far as I've heard the new(er) GIAC programs aren't very hard on the turbos compared to the older files with overboost/spike issues. I've used GIAC-X file over 25k Miles and my k03's are as healthy as they've ever been. Just do some research on the various programs, know what your options are for upgrades in the future and also very importantly is to make sure you go to a good quality shop in your area for the install and who can do any future tuning plans you might have for the car.

I'm going to give my biased opinion with GIAC just because that's the only chip I've experienced personally. So yeah, GIAC.
