Is there a better way to test the auto sensor lever for the headlight adjustment is working than trying to find an incline or decline?

there is a way with the vagcom to realign the headlight auto-level sensor. But i don;t remember how to do it. if you search you will find it on the vagcom website.

The headlights should readjust on startup regardless if its an incline or not, if the car has been turned off for an extended period of time. Try leaving it off for a while and then turning the lights on at night the instant you turn the car on.
