Strange Noise

04 2.7T 54000 miles. When my car sits in the cold for a few hours say 32 degrees or lower it make this whinning noise when I turn the wheel. Any of you Audi savy mech have an idea what the issue might be. Also my ABS and ESP lights keep coming on every 5 or 6 days. Whats up with this. I am out of warranty so I have got to make some hard choices. Talk to me

it could be a couple of things... Might have something to do with your power steering pump

My predictions are....P/s fluid is probably low from seeping hose and either your abs module or ignition switch is on it's way out. Shouldn't be enough to need to dump the car though.

yes the guys in Durham but no longer doing GIAC. Doing my own software now.

Bring it to Evan...he's done work to alot of people's cars here in NC(including mine) and I have never heard a complaint. His prices are reasonable too. His software literally throws youback in your seat

On a side note have you tried that Beer yet Evan?

pull the codes.. you ABS & ESP lights could be various things...
I had the noise too but other symptoms too, ended up being Tie ROd ends and chnaged control arms too. I would check power steering fluid first...
Any other symptoms/noises?

ABS and ESP light is probably the brake light switch, happened to me about a year ago.

possible too... Had to change mine too but had other symptoms, like no acceleration/throttle randomly...

Throttle response was terrible when the lights are on. Also I am having a loud whistling sound when its cold. My brother told me when he started it Jan. 1 he lifted the hood and he thought the belts right in front where whitling. Sorry for my spelling issues. I was on patrol for a couple of days and I am little edgy. I need some p...y to relax. Not going to happen though overhere. Anyway I hope you guys can help. Take care fellas.
