... so every time i hit around 2400 and 2600 RPM it sounds like i have a lose bolt somewhere like a firewall rattle... dosnt sound mechanical... anyone know any common spots that it will happen... 04 A6 2.7T 61K

onmine does that too, its one of the bolts for the heatshield over the downpipes.

The dealer wanted like $200 to do it, I said screw it I'll do it myself. Would it be easier to go from underneath or on top?

^^^ I'm pretty sure I know what he means, it's an annoying rattle when the turbos start to spool.

Deffinitely the top..your gonna need like 3 extensions and 2 swivels, those things are in there

I have the exact same rattle/vibration. Drives me nuts, guess I will try to tighten those bolts.

yeah only happens with the turbo spool.. so annoying.. and it just started happening. and if i put it in sport it will do it 2 more time in 4.4K and 5.2K aghhh stupid heat shields
