Tire size for 18" and 19" RS6 reps.......

I'm getting ready to order a set of new wheels for my 2.7t C5, I already found RS6 reps for a great price, just need to decide on 18's or 19's. I want to know what size tire I should use for each, I'm running stock suspension but planning on dropping in the spring time with a set of pss9's. Also need to make sure, is the offset 35mm??

I think those are oem RS6's with an offset in the 40's, 2.7 need a 35mm (I think)

Yeah but I think the 45mm offset is for the wide body, since the fenders flare out. 45mm would prob stick out too far on the narrow body.

Isn't it the other way around? Lower offsets stick out more, which is why the 20-25mm offsets won't work with non-widebody 2.7t but work for the AR, etc.

19" 275-35-19's with 20mm spacers and drop that bitch! LOLZ!!!! J/K , i use RS6 9-spoke reps for winter and they are 18x8 with 35ET so i use 235-40-18 , no spacers.....lol wofman your funny!

ok I think I am going for the 19's, but I seem to only find them in 8" width. Should I find an 8.5 better, and will the 8.5 have fitment issues?

add: just wanna make sure I clear the brakes with a 35mm offset

thats what I was thinking, if I find 8.5's do you think a 35mm offset would be alright? Also I found a set of LM reps staggered 19x8.5 and 19x9.5 35mm front and 40mm rear, you think they'll fit?

I would not do a staggered fitment, already been there. If you go 8.5 et35 that should work without spacers. Just make sure the design clears the caliper.

You can do 235 or 245 saftely. Maybe bigger but you would need to adjust from a 35 possibly.

i called yesterday and they said it should be about 2 more months, but thats ok, i have all these control arms, and tie rods, and shocks/springs and sways to install first, hehe

Sounded funny but yes, one wheel. He agreed to do this for test fitment. Ill PM you a teaser pick but wont have them on my car for real till spring. Need tires and must install the PSS9's that lay in bed next to me

I paid for the set but had him hold the other wheels. He had never fit them on a C5 before. I doubt he would do it again because I will report if they fit or not. Plus yours are custom so that would he harder.

Thanx Frank, I called Raderwerks and they told me to stick with the 19x8 with a 30mm offset because I do have the HP2 brakes. I'm gonna get a few tire estimates and place my order. That pic you sent me of your car looks hot btw, is it dropped?

so are yuo getting the 19 X8? * I ahve 8" wide and the tired does not stretch enough fropm a looks standpoint, looks very squarrish and tall. I ahve 235/40/18 I first had 245's but they rubbed so returned them.

235/35/19 is better suited for the a4. a6 bigger car you need a slightly bigger tire. achtuning has some tire recommendations

No they would not no yuor suspension. Mine were 245/40 and the car's lowered. but 245 maylook off on 8" rim I think. When I ahd them on, forget about the stretch look, the walls were coming in toward the rim (tire patch wider than tim) just looked odd and provides no value in my opinion.... unless yuo get a wider rim, I would stick to the recommended 235's
