got clear corners for christmas and since it was like 55 degrees here in maryland i decided to do some work to the car. i installed clear corners and my boost gauge today as well. Snapped some pictures. Oh and i decided to cover up the front mount i was going for more of the stealth look.

    Before:

    After:

    And the boost gauge:

Cutting the vent was a bitch scraped my hand up something bad and i am going out tomorrow to get clear corner bulbs to get rid of the orange in the corners.

    Merry Christmas everyone.

Not feeling those clear corners at all.

For starters, they don't flow with the much dated-looking headlamps.

I'd go with 1-piece ecodes myself.

If you don't have the cash for the 1-piece, there are a couple kits that you should try to restore those headlights! That might help out with the look of the new mod!

Boosting at 18 psi just added a cone filter today i know i dont get any horses out of it but turbo sounds nasty now and thats all i wanted i dont even need music anymore lol. And i know they dont blend too well i am going to wet sand the headlights this weekend or next weekend i dont want to do it in the cold though.

Used headlights from an S4 with HIDs is hardly more than $200. Instead of buying several minor things that add up to a waste of money for ~200, you can have proper headlights.

Yeah, the housings look a little banged up. To freshen up mine, I usually sand with 400 wet, then 800 wet, then I have a polishing bit on the end of a corded drill, and I use some cheap Turtle Wax rubbing compound then polishing compound, then finish with some plastic polish. Takes probably a half hour per side... but it comes out looking good.

Try that on the housings. Plenty you can do to freshen up the car on a budget - but the guys are right, scour the classifieds for people parting out. Stock 1 piece headlights shouldn't go for more than $100 plus shipping, so save some beans. Totally worth it.

Man, I was reallllllly wary the first time I took sandpaper to clear plastic. But it becomes apparent after just a few minutes that it will end up very nice. makes them look brand new!

i got the boost gauge from waterfest this year but here is link to it.

    http://www.glowshiftdirect.com/white...uum-gauge.aspx

nice, cheap, and looks great but the boost hose they supply is shitty so i got one from advance auto parts for like 10 bucks i got 10 feet.

i will take pictures of it in the vent tommorow if i get a chance.

I would buy s4 headlights but i still owe my parents money for my car i took out a loan from them so i have to spend the money a little bit at a time so they dont notice lol

no disrespect intended...i think you need to do a little bit more trimming, the sides of the center vent look somewhat bowed....it doesnt look bad...i did my center vent also, and i know how difficult it is to get perfect(not that mine is)

    glowshift YEAH!!!!

heres what you do... take out the center vent from the whole piece *it pops out* then fiberglass a molding. then cut a hole into the molding and bondo and paint. then pop the mold into center vent hole. BAM!!! no cutting of plastic vent and you can always pop it back in if you want. little more work (maybe depends if your good with fiberglass) but better off, this way you can always start over with a new molding instead of buyin a new vent piece illl get pic up eventually...

imo those clear corners dont flow as well as the one-piecers. it would definitely look better if you stealth'd your bulbs though. theres a diy on audidiy in the b5 section. basically get some chrome or silver spray paint at home depot for 4 bucks. tape up the connector portion of the bulb and do 1-2 light coats on each bulb. i also removed the parking light circuit on the bulbs (with number side facing up, its the left wire/contact pin. just push it up with a knife or something and wiggle it back and forth till it falls off. with the parking pin removed, the bulbs don't run with your headlights on, but still work for turn signals. this avoids the bulbs from running all the time and heating up the paint, making it flake off. it also looks very clean with just your headlights and fogs running at night.

or just be like me and go to a junkyard and get a center vent for under $2 and just carve the hell out of that one, so that you have your original stock one and then the one from the junkyard :]
