    18's or 19's on allroad?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Hey guys, I'm looking to get either a set of 18" or 19" RS4 reps on my allroad. I'm not sure which size to go with, anyone have any pics for comparison? I'm not sure how "meaty" of a tire i could get on a 19, don't want to have to watch out for bumps or pothoels all the time.

Any pics / recomendations would be greatly appriciated, thanks!

Personally I will be throwing on 18" RS6 reps because I use my A6 as a daily driver, on the other hand if it were a weekend car I would definitely go 19. I prefer a little extra tire for the city driving I do.

Go with 19's if you go to the achtuning web site they give you recomendations on what size tire you can go with. Pretty much most not all the people here run 235/35/19 a size better suited on an a4.

Do you use your allroad on all roads? If so 18s (I use 17s because we have what are lovingly called "chip n' seal" roads in the county). If it is a city cruiser, no winter, no pot holes, 19s.

19's for sure. The allroad has larger wheel wells and looks better with 19

Re: 18's or 19's on allroad?

its a daily driver, and ocasionally i do take it offroad, it mainly sees regular street use but i dont want to have to be dodging potholes or bumps in the road always. I still would have my 17" double spokes for the winter. 19's would fill it up better but how much of a tire (profile wise) can i get on there with a 19?

does anyone have any pics of these rs4 reps on an allroad in either 18 or 19??

We got you covered w/ our VMR V708 (rs4) wheels. The thing about the All-Road is that these cars use low offset wheels. I dont know of any manufacturer who is currently offering rs4 style wheels in the +25 offset range. We offer them in a +38 but high quality hub centric spacers and lug bolts are not a problem to use at all. I would recommend a H&R 12mm spacer could be used to make the wheel sit nicely on a 245/40/19.

Personally I would pass on the spacer and go with the rs6 wheels. They are the right offset.

No problem. Its an option that some customers go with, but understandably spacers don't work for all. In the future we will look into creating a custom offset for the All Road if there is enough demand to justify a production run.

Not if you get the right tires, an A6 is wayyy different than a Allroad, we don't have to go with low profile tires. My 20's actually ride smoother than my 19's

I can arrange for the factory to produce it in All Road specific fitment. If we can get enough people, I can make it happen, as well as a "group buy" pricing :)

Re: 18's or 19's on allroad?

Keep in mind that even if it doesnt cause physical interference, changing tire profile will result in altered odo/speedometer readings. I go crazy with my tire size/profile, but if I get a speeding ticket as a result of my speedometer being 5-10mph off, then I'm really SOL :)
