Anyone can snow drift an empty parking lot, how 'bout a cul-de-sac?!

I know this kung-fu is pretty weak actually. This was just after a big plow made 3 passes. Literally, could not have been worse timing. We're still due for another 6 inches before this is all done, so I will head out and get some proper shots in some parking lots. But for now...

^^^ E-Brake slide, traction control ESP off, what you don't see is I almost murdered my mailbox...bwahaha

    Till then...

Re: Anyone can snow drift an empty parking lot, how 'bout a cul-de-sac?!

So, driving on the highway today in to work, hit 60 mph and the car starts shaking violently.

    My thought process....

    "This is something new"
    "It's getting worse with speed"
    "Warped rotors maybe?"
(Pull in to truck weigh station and slams on brakes)
    "Nope, brakes are good"
(Floor it back up to highway speed)
"This is getting worse, tie rods or bad axle?"
"Fuck me, I knew I shouldn't have gone sliding this weekend"

Takes me an entire morning of slacking off during clinic hours to figure out I've got an extra 20 pounds of snow and ice stuck in my rims and it threw off my balance...Hit it with my snow scraper and back to normal.

Hahaha, funny how with these cars I'm always expecting the worse when a simple answer is usually the most logical.

The exact same thing happened to me last friday, except it was nothing but solid chunks of ice up in the rear wheel wells.

Me too, except on the fronts. On my way to work I couldn't wait to hit the highway and go faster than 20mph (slow drivers in front of me). I get up to about 50 and my car starts shaking like crazy... Into the right lane with the rest of the losers for me.

trust me, you dont want it. It might be fun for messing around with in your spare time, but when you actually have to drive in it for commuting/ leisure - its a pain in the arse, it takes forever to get anywhere because morons crash all over the place. That and if you have snow, you also have -5 degree temps as well (at least here in MN).

My dream location would be to live on a tropical beach that is also close to some major mountains or glaciers so I can snow ski all morning, and surf all night. New Zealand is the only place I've been that even comes close to that.
