I'm thinking about getting the Forge 004 BOV and wanted to know how easy was the install?
    Was it long?
Or should I just take it to my shop?

    Re: Forge 004 install

it took me like a half hour. lifted the front end up, took the belly pan off, ended up using a dremel to cut off those stupid one time clamps since there is like no space to get to the stock dv. But once u get it off, the install is pretty simple.

x2 - except it took me about an hour or so - even with the dremel I couldn't get one of the clamps - had to use a combination of a dremel and tin snips. The clamps are easy to pop off if you can get a screwdriver under the tab, but one of mine was oriented behind the hose form my angle, so I couldn't pop it.

Same thing here, mine were oriented in the most ridiculous ways that I couldn't get a screw driver anywhere near where it had to be. Guy at the local shop charged me $30 and it was done in about 5 minutes.

I have the 007, not the 004, so I can't really comment. You can still hear mine slightly, so I'm assuming the 004 will be a lot louder.

seriously if you plan on modding this car get used to taking a screw driver to those 1 time clamps. After a couple you'll be able to do it in 5 seconds max

I guess if I had little girly hands I could have reached around behind the hose to snap the tab. But, since I don't have magic Princess Power I just had to "man-handle" them as you appropriately call it...

Get your knuckles dirty and scratched up and do it yourself! Pair of pliers and twist those puppies off. Takes 30 minutes and you'll appreciate it a lot more when you do it yourself. Hybrid DV/BOV is next for me. Love my 007 BUT i would occasionally like some sound!
