hit a curb 2 days ago. I know the left front lower control arm is bent. don't know much else though. It sucks to becuase this time i wasn't even doing anything stupid. now i need to figure out where to buy a set of arms.

pick up some tires on craigslist. I found some 235/40/18 Dunlop Wintersports w/ 80% tread for $135. But that was long before winter struck. Lots of great deals to be found on craigslist. Take care of those tires. Get winter/snow tires. NOTHING like the stock all-seasons.....its snowing like ass here, and I haven't even gotten close to losing traction

had to have it yanked out for $100 dollars and cop made me park it overnight or face a $200 ticket. that means i'm stuck in vermont getting another hotel overnight. i'll be hopefully buying steel wheels + snow tires tomorrow morning. however, no damage, i might as well have rear ended a cloud. i'll be checking my control arms and tie rods tomorrow though.

ripped off my front bumper backing up the driveway... plows came through overnight and i backed through a frozen wall coming up the driveway. starting to wish that the lower valence broke, instead my bumper is hanging off and the clips/rails on the sides probably snapped (too cold to realign or even take a look at)

picked up 16" steelies with new snow tires for $200... well worth it even if id only get one season out of them

so this is another pic of yesterday

the cop made me park the car over night....we got a hotel for the night. this morning i went to the gas station the car was at. the guy said they dont have any tires that'll fit or wheels + tires we could use. so....we had to go to the next town.....carefully. i was slipping and sliding up hills and around bends but managed. then i was in first gear going downhill at maybe 10 mph and i slid left into a bank. missed an outback by a second.



called a tow truck and while waiting the super troopers arrived. i was sitting in his car while he wrote me a ticket for "driving too fast for the conditions" or something along those lines. while sitting in the car a civic came over the hill and slid into the back of my car. no damage.



so i didnt want to finish driving this road into town because its a very hilly/windy/narrow/barely plowed and not salted road. you can see from the pics. a wrecker pulled me out then a flat bed came and brought me into town.

excellent weekend

made it home with my shitty tires, i'll be ordering steelies + tires tonight.

civic got same ticket as me, driving too fast for the conditions or something alone those lines. i told the trooper i was in first gear and going no more than 10 mph and he said no matter what the posted speed is i was going fast enough to lose control and thus the ticket. i guess its incentive to not have shitty tires in the snow as what happened could have been me going head first into a tractor trailer. its salt in the wounds though in the long run i kind of deserved it.

im assuming rsmess isnt talking to me since they're stock wheels full of snow :p

bah tire rack is out of stock on the dunlop M3s i want, not too sure what to do
